2017 has been a bit of a whirlwind year for my family and me. We are out tonight so posting a little early.
The biggest and best news is that we had a new addition to our family. My wonderful daughter Natalie gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She is the happiest baby, always with a ready smile. She has been smiling from the get go and it wasn't all wind. :)

Everywhere I go I promote steemit. Some people think I've been inducted into some kind of cult or have been eating to many magic mushrooms. Which makes me laugh. For me steemit is the future and the present.
It was only in June that I found Steemit thanks to comments by my fellow YouTuber @old-guy-photos and was impressed with the technology and people behind it and realized immediately that this platform is the future.
Every other social network revenue sharing business model is outdated and old fashioned by comparison.
Blogging or vlogging on any other platform feels like self-flagellation. I guess some people would get a kick out of that. (pun intended)
Steem continues to liberate 10’s of 1,000's of people who understand that hard work pays off if you are persistent and consistent. Every day we post, upvote, comment and share we are growing.
The block chain means we have the potential to free ourselves from the financial tyranny of the banks.
Steemfest2 in Portugal was fantastic and I found some of the most interesting people, I have ever met. And I've met many in my life. But not so many all in one place. It was amazing.
This year I learned how to trade crypto currency which has been fascinating and financially rewarding.
I started the Signage and typography photography challenge on steemit which may resume after the holidays.
A huge thank you to all that took part. The winners earned about $200.00 between them approximately, according to the exchange rates at the time.
2017 has been a phenomenal year and we are set up for an even more spectacular year ahead.

Congratulations on the new addition! I am grateful I finally made the jump to Steemit. @uwelang kept going on and on and telling me I needed to try it. When I finally did, I wondered what took me so long!
