I read your comment. It was very well written and it wasn't done in an aggressive way at all. You made some completely valid points and gave a balanced view. If it gets flagged then it says more about the flagger than it does you. I dont think it will, though, because most people here are open to discussion.
What I really respect in what you've talked about is your open mindedness. The biggest problem when it comes to discussions about prejudism is that it often ends up in a cat fight because people are all one side or the other. We can never reach a harmony until we can learn to accept that there is wrong and right on both sides and that there are many factors at play. That's why I hate blanket judgements saying "all blacks are this, all whites are this, all men are this". The truth is that it's often only a few who cause the issues, but the rest will end up paying for it if we lump them in with them.
When we all work together we can make huge changes for the better. Black slavery in America couldn't have ended without white support too. Apartheid in South Africa also couldn't have ended without white pressure. I believe that people in power are happy to keep people fighting amongst themselves, because if we actually worked together we'd be a powerful force to reckon with and they would be the ones losing out.
South Africa has a lot of problems at the moment and everyone living there is feeling it. Lets not make it a contest between which race is hurting the most. It shouldn't be a surprise that there is a lot of resentment against the whites in many African countries. Perhaps if the whites took a physical step back and instead supported and empowered those who have the ability to make changes for the better within their own countries, we could see much more positive results.
We are all people first and foremost. We shouldn't throw potential allies out with the enemy.
well she has tagged me a racist by implying that I am in support of the killings, sadly.
like I said in my latest reply-- it is turning into a cat fat now, that in support of the equable distribution of lands which is one of the major cause of the rift between the communities. i do not advocate for the pillaging of the white communities because, that's barbaric. whether anyone likes it or not they are instrumental to the growth and sustainability of the south africa's economy. More importantly they are people too and they have equal stake in the country.
