We all want to be rich and successful in the society. That is the reason why you wake up early in the morning with determination to go to work or school (if at all you are a student) each and everyday. There is absolutely no doubt we all want to own big houses, fancy cars, big businesses that are doing well ,huge numerous bank accounts and live that lavish/luxurious life. I am a perfect example of people who badly want to be wealthy. I would love to own all those things someday. Don't you? Of-course you do.
As a young kid, when asked what i wanted to be when i grow up, i would say "I want to never be broke." I was always scared of being broke as a child. I am still scared of brokenness as i type this post. Nobody wants to be poor. No one prefers poverty over riches. We all wish for and want lots and lots of fortune. I'm pretty much sure if somebody offered you a couple of millions right now, you would go unbelievably insane and probably be the happiest human being to have ever existed. Perhaps i exaggerated but as the saying goes "* God made man, Man made money, Money made man mad*"
However this kind of reaction to the offer would mostly apply to people like me who are still chasing success . I doubt if you gave millions to someone who is used to counting billions they would go insanely happy. The truth is. it will not have that much of an impact on them compared to someone who is used to having thousands, hundreds, tens or even ones. They might end up telling you "*No thanks!! You can keep that*" or even tell you "*Thanks for buying me coffee*":) Yes! It will only be enough to buy them coffee.
Come to think of it ;Supposing i was extremely successful and rich, would i really decline or refuse money if someone offered to give me some? Before i answer this allow me to ask you the same question. Would you refuse free cash offers?
Well to be honest I would never refuse to take money not unless it's blood money or cash acquired through illegal means. But how will you know its "evil money" if somebody doesn't tell you where the money is from? Is there such a thing as "evil money" ? All money is evil right? Yeah! Money is just money. A number of people might have different opinions and say on this but i still think money is just money irregardless of it's source.
Being rich and successful is awesome right? But do you think it's easy? If you believe in magic and luck, then perhaps being rich is easy. We have seen people win huge jackpots through gambling. We have also seen and heard of people who have inherited and acquired wealth from their fathers and forefathers. Let's just say they were or they are lucky which simply means luck exists although rarely.
People look at successful individuals and wonder how they became that successful and rich easily. I had asked this before; Do you think success, wealth and fortune is easy to acquire? Time to answer this question.
Unfortunately in this world that we live in, nothing comes easy. Nothing comes for free. In-fact, a lot of free things are not genuine and don't last for long. You have to toil and work for it. You have to push yourself as hard as you can. For you to succeed, you got to have passion for what you do and strength to overcome challenges that will always be there to demotivate you. There will be a number of obstacles that you will face, a lot of things will try to bring you down to the ground. But you will have to pull yourself together, get up and push through these walls. You need to be fearless, brave, bold, courageous, positive and have the "*I'm never giving up*" spirit. You have to try over and over again after failing.
You got to have a vision, mission and a concrete goal and most importantly you need to focus on archiving these goals.Without the few qualities that i mentioned above, being successful is just but a mere dream.
The words below are from this inspiring video i posted above. It explains a life of a successful entrepreneur in 90 seconds. I have watched it countless times. Make sure to watch it too for some amazing inspiration.
"Most people only pay attention to the final product of a successful entrepreneur. They say things like, “ I can never be like them” or "they got lucky". What most don’t see, is what they’ve overcome. All the struggles, the daily rejections, the heart aches... the betrayals, the rumors, the criticism... the empty bank account, and all those lonely nights while trying to make their vision a reality. You see the only difference between the one who quits and the one who doesn’t is that they showed up every day, they worked hard every day, they hustled every day, they learned from a proven mentor every day, they improved every day; They did all this even though they felt like quitting every day. And eventually, they became who they are today.
"
Various successful people when asked how they did it, the following statement will always be a part of their explanation.
"*I had to fail several times in-order to get to where i am*" They will narrate to you of the problems they faced and the battles they fought on their way up.
They will go ahead and tell you of their determination and how they kept going even in the toughest of times.
All this teaches us something really important which is *Behind every successful person, there are times when things were tough*. That is a lesson to keep in mind.
I know some of us signed up for Steemit thinking it's a get rich quick scheme. Unfortunately you might find out that things are not working out as you expected. This is because, success in Steemit requires patience, persistence, passion and a positive mentality. Take it as a place where you put your thoughts and express you feelings. Take it as a place to learn new stuff, inform yourself and have fun.
If you spent the whole night drafting and writing a post and it doesn't get an upvote, a comment or a resteem, don't feel disappointed. Let it be the reason why you post more and more of your work. Remember, there are times when some of the current whales were minnows /newbies and had to go through the same challenges. Let it be one of your biggest motivation to work harder.I understand this is the common Steemit inspirational talk but that is just how things are. I found myself in this ocean as a small fish but i have been trying to learn on ways to maneuver through the waves. I told myself that i won't give up until i get to where i would like to be as a steemian.
The moment we all learn and understand that in-order to get to the top we have to take the staircase and not always the elevator, is the time we will have realized the true secret to success.
Thank you for taking time to read this post.
