This week we have been busy getting everything ready for the next big road trip.
We have had a few concerned messages from our lovely subscribers wondering if everything is ok, I have not done a post for about 5 days which is not like me so I understand how it might worry a few of you, especially considering we have the Swedish government hot on our heels trying to claim our children and put them into school.
Just to put everyone at ease I thought I would do a little update post.
Because we will most likely not return after this next road trip we have been really busy tying up all the loose ends and setting all the wheels in motion for our big move to the land of our dreams.
One of the biggest challenges is getting our trusted old truck through its yearly road safety test and after a new exhaust system and a headlight adjustment, I am pleased to announce The Big Green Steem Machine has passed with flying colours.
My next big project.
I have also been working on a project that is going to be good for this community, I can't say too much right now, all shall be revealed in my next post.
OK I will give you a little clue, the title of my next post will be "What Have You Done For Steemit Lately" and will hopefully inspire people to help steemit instead of moaning because their post is not getting enough money or that the price of steem is going down or that steemit hasn't made them a millionaire yet etc.

Even after 4yrs of living a free life in a tinyhouse travelling around Europe and Africa, we still feel very much a part of the system we dispise. Only when we are producing our own food and start living a much more sustainable life can we truly feel 100% FREE!!!
In just 12 days that is excactly what we plan on doing, we are going to Portugal to build an eco-community and you are all invited to follow our journey of a lifetime right here on steemit.

hahaha! yeah your not the only one, I have had a lot of private messages on steemit chat asking if everything is ok. it feels good to know that people here are looking out for us :)
Moving with a family can be a lot of work, so I will keep y'all in my thoughts and prayers for good health and a safe journey. Your move sounds wonderful and exciting! Your children will learn so much along the way! Many things the government would never be able to teach them. Enjoy the precious moments and take pictures. Of course, with a blog you already do this! Now that my children are older and we no longer homeschool, we are grateful for all the comics my husband drew and little essays I wrote about our time together as a family when they were little. You are documenting your family's history, which is so nice. Because as much as we think that we won't forget things, we tend to do just that. All the best!

We feel so blessed but at the same time we know how easy it is and wonder why more people don't do this.

How wonderful! We lived in Portugal for a year, it's a lovely country. One of our friends has set up a small eco home (growing into a community) in central Portugal. :)

Hi there, we are a family of 4, we left to India somewhere in the year 2000 with a 1967 old mercedes truck, we are still there, living offgrid in a nice very small community. Our children are now 10 and 13 and want to reach out for the world and leave their mountaintop. We plan on moving back next summer and see what is going on in South Europe so will follow you, cheers.
Wow amazing story, you made it all the way to India, of course in an old Mercedes, they are the most reliable :) there is a lot happening on Portugal and Spain at the moment, lots of communities, lots of people choosing an alternative life :)

Yes, it's already illegal in Sweden to home school and it is classed as child abuse to not send your children to school, which is why we are leaving.

I love this! There is an eco community somewhere in Portugal I believe. The funny thing is, I've travelled a lot and hope to bring the kids for more travel soon, but Portugal has never come up on my list (for a visit yes, not more). But when I heard of this eco village and later about steemfest 2 I thought there might be something there to explore. It's not a coincidence...
