Tile Sport Quick Review.

in #blog7 years ago (edited)

Hey guys, I recently picked up this tile sport on sale for around $20 at one of our local electronics retailers. I wanted to give you guys my quick review on this Bluetooth tracker. The tile Bluetooth tracker isn’t anything new, it’s been introduced for quite a few years now and has a community of well over 5 million users.

The tracker works by using Bluetooth technology to connect to your phone via the Tile app. When you’re in range of your items, you can use the app to quickly find whatever it is that you placed your tracker on. The new tile sport model has an extended range of 200 feet, almost double that of its predecessor. You can use the app to find anything that the tracker has been placed on, and more importantly, you can use the tracker itself to locate your phone.

If you go over the 200 foot range, you can leverage the power of the tile community as anybody who passes by with the Tile app automatically pings the servers to get a notification sent to you.

While I don’t see myself using Tile app constantly, It’s great for those who go on long trips and want to make sure that their items are safe and secure. The original price of $35 is a little bit steep but these are worth it when they go on sale. The only major downside is that the batteries are only warrented to last about a year.

Afterwards, you can get a discounted price when you send in your tile to be recycled.

In conclusion, this is a great gadget for those want a portable item tracker that works via Bluetooth.

Good information, may be useful

nice how you can just attach it to a key chain

Yes, it's very small and portable.

I recently ordered a four-pack of these after my first two died. I’d gotten more than a year from the first two and I was quite happy with their performance. The jury’s out on the replacements, though, as they don’t seem to be as reliable. Sometimes the system doesn’t recognize the tile even if I’m standing right next to it.
