I'm very graphical myself, I also do 3D models and have been designing a first person shooter for the last 2 and a 1/2 years or so. Started off using stock models and slowly phasing them out in place of my own. Took awhile to learn to use Blender but I am glad I did

I know a bit of Cinema4D but for animations Im more a "2.5D" After Effects guy, sometimes I use the Elements plugin (Do u know it? It is really cool for After Effects) for introduce some 3D objects into AE. And work very good with C4D, that is why I know a bit ;)
I haven't tried much with animation yet, trying to get all the models finished first before I start on that. Though I'm likely going to use Blender for everything as the *.blend files are compatible with Unity3D which is the game editing software I use.
