This is me!

in #blog2 years ago

Every now and again, at a local game store / hobby shop, I bump into an old friend of mine @zakludick and he KEEPS TELLING ME about Hive and how simple it is to get started SO... Here I am (well done Zak)

I work in the IT industry with an affinity for collectible hobbies. My main hobbies are Pokemon TCG, Magic the Gathering and Retro Console Collecting. I'm sure I will be making future posts about these so let me not spoil to much for you.

I also am a YouTuber where I focus on my TCG collecting hobbies. I have been doing this for a little over 2 years now which has garnered me over 500 subscribers and landed me a couple of sponsorships.

I am a father to 2 beautiful girls and they are my everything.

This is my short intro, you can expect me to return with a whole bunch of gaming type posts where I can show off my hobbies and make some new connections on this new digital adventure.

Stay Safe
Cheers

By the way, since content on the Hive platform is monetized, using other people’s ideas or images could be considered as an offense and which is also viewed in a serious light on the blockchain. Here is a useful collection of resources about how plagiarism and abuse is viewed and handled on Hive.

Hi @lovesniper, I am going to guide Mr. KahunaKoala in doing a little more extensive introduction to Hive with the right tags and so on. This post is definitely not gaining any notice and we would like to start him off with a bang.

I appreciate your support and ability to find him! Cheers!

Welcome @kahunakoala! You're going to have a jol here. We look forward to your posts!

Welcome, welcome! Love your username! You will find that this is a place like no other and I mean that in a very good way!

Welcome to HIVE! Get @zakludick to explain that you must use all ten tags so that your posts can get found by more people, especially curators who seem to have the job of recommending you to voters with actual high voting power.

So on this post I only see one tag (blog) - there should be ten - Zak will give you tips - he helped me a lot and still does!

There are also various "communities" to join and I'm pretty sure there are several that suit gaming, Magic cards, etc - then if you post in those communities you should be getting seen by the right kinds of people.

I post about surfing in a sports community and my songs and instruments stuff in a music community.

Welcome to Hive (I know, it's a slightly belated welcome, but hey...).

Although I haven't played MTG for years, I used to run an FLGS so soaked up a bit of knowledge about it, and still love seeing reviews of cards and the decks people put together. I'm in the Tabletop / DND community here on Hive, where a couple of the guys periodically post Magic-related content, so that might be one good place you could cross-post to.

Also, if you're used to making YouTube videos, you could look at signing up on ThreeSpeak, another part of the Hive ecosystem which focuses on video rather than blog-type posts. Again, upvotes get you crypto ! I'm not sure what the etiquette would be over directly cross-posting the same videos you put up on YouTube, so that's probably worth checking out, it might need minor edits just to make it unique, or it might be enough to just put up a statement saying "also posted by me on YT".

But the important thing is... enjoy your time here ! I look forward to seeing more gaming-related content :)
