As someone who has had an ongoing struggle with PTSD for the last seven years due to a tragic work place accident that ended a 26 year career as a paramedic. I feel as though this article captures many aspects of the real struggle many of us affected by PTSD face and deal and struggle with everyday. Awareness creates power! Many members of society including those affected by PTSD do not undetstand this diagnosis. People who suffer from this disorder feel ashamed and weak and judged. It is so hard not to have control of our mental health. We can't pick when a trigger will happen. Nightmares, flashbacks, hypervigilance, anger, stress and so much more. Thank you for taking the time to read and learn more. Feel free to resteem and upvote to spread awareness. Thank you for your time. If just one person learns something from this one blog it will be a great accomplishment towards spreading awareness.
