I hope everyone had a great Valentine's day yesterday, even if you didn't spend it with the one your heart desires.
The truth is, the mind often has a way of distorting what the heart is saying. It takes time and practice to be able to identify the thoughts that are habitual and detrimental to our mental wellbeing.
The heart and the mind can work in synchrony, but in order for this to be possible there must be discipline.
One must learn to ignore emotion in times of logic or critical thought, despite the temptation to act on it.
Meditation is a great tool in your mental arsenal. Take 15-20 minutes out of your morning ritual and allow yourself to be still, both mentally and physically. Some people use bineural beats (
some people use nature sounds, others prefer absolute quiet. Do whatever works for you, but keep doing it. Consistency is key in anything we wish to accomplish in life.Acknowledge how good your life really is, embrace it, and love it. Only when we are truly grateful for being can manifest our desires.
