Since I have two young children I worry about their safety when they are playing outside.
Last night we were already celebrating Halloween.
We walked through our neighborhood with a lot of children and almost a child was hit by a car on the zebra crosswalk.
Fortunately, it just went well.
This morning I saw an artikel about a town in Iceland who paints a 3D Zebra Crosswalk to slow down speeding cars.
This is a great solution!
Not only does the innovative design give foot-travelers the feeling of walking on air, it also gets the attention of drivers, who will be sure to slow down their speed once they spot the seemingly floating zebra stripes.
It would also be an improvement when the 3D zebra stripes give light in the evening as shown below.
I hope we'll see this improved 3D Zebra Crosswalk in The Netherlands soon.
Wow, that would be something! Great mind tricks that will work to let pedestrians cross the street in a safe way!
