Thanks for the question! I would say its not an apples to oranges comparison but an apples to unicorns comparison. What I mean is the two have really nothing to do with each other. Gold is a natural element that has special properties and has ascended as money throughout civilization....... Steem is an amazing cryptocurrency that has many benefits and amazing things going for it on a wonderful platform. But gold and cryptocurrency are completely two different topics imo ....... so to address your questions directly, I would do both! :)
