The US Dollar buy's less and less in our stores --- INFLATION --- and it will get worse unfortunately

A picture is worth 1000 words

Each month we see how our money buys less and less. You can say that companies are raising prices of goods ...that is true. But also, the good it takes to make those good is getting more costly.

It doesn't matter what the real culprit is, the issue is INFLATION is everywhere and nobody likes to talk about it.

  • It costs for more for eggs, milk , butter, cheese
  • it cost more for rent, or taxes if you own a home
  • it costs more for healthcare (see obamacare rate hikes)
  • it costs more for travel -- you would think with OIL prices soooo low that travel is cheap -- it's higher than ever
  • its more for a coffee at Starbucks
  • it's more to heat your home and cable tv prices are going up too
  • how about the movie tickets --- popcorn and a coke

Nobody (politicians) wants to talk about the real issues. The people in Venezuela are at an extreme.

The US people are just like "frogs in boiling water" --- all is ok --- and then you are in trouble.

Keep watching the dollar. Watch what happens thru 2017. Get your crypto and precious metals. And have some supplies IF there is a disruption and you need to eat/drink at home for 30 days.

Sad :(

Well....this is why we need a dollar hedge like cryptos....lord know there is know interest in a bank account

Good illustration

Thank you very much

What most people don't understand is that inflation can be completely controlled (and thus, is caused by) central banks and their monetary policies.

There's a reason inflation is called the "hidden tax". You are not taxed higher each time you buy a can of soda... simply they have made the dollar you use to pay for it be worth less, so you have to pay more for the same can... while your wages barely go up, or not at all.

You are 100% correct....and it's the reason why there is no intelligent discussion...they hide it .

Let's hope they end the Fed ! Those durtie burdz . . . it's not even worth working anymore at all. The American Dream is (to quote another poster) sadly, d.e.a.d. . .

You are now talking about "truth to power".....this is a "no-no". :-)
