Why Steemit Is My Favorite?!

Hello Steemians

Being a teenager, I have had access to the internet since a long time ago, and I first created my account of Facebook back in 2008. Initially, I used every social media available including Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Instagram.

Basic the objective of social medias is to keep contact with family and friends who are spread out across the globe, for example, thanks to Facebook, i made a lot of friend in Bosnia, Croatia and Romania. And then social medias such as Facebook and Instagram are all about likes, followers; how much popular you are!

But what is the use of being popular on Facebook or Instagram?? Is this helping you in any way??

I remember there was once a competition, where the picture with the most likes would receive a prize, and a girl used the autolike bot and got over a thousand likes, and won the competition unfairly. She got those likes without creating quality content, yet just because she's a girl, some people liked her picture.

As the years passed by, I lost interest in Facebook. Then came the Bitcoin Craze. And this made me read a lot more about cryptocurrencies, and I stumbled across STEEMIT.

Initially I thought that it would be easy to make money, I just have to make posts like I did on Facebook, but this was not the case. I realized that a lot of time and effort has to be invested in order to be famous and successful here. And I mean, a lot of time indeed. During the first month, I decided to give up many times, but then I remember why I started. However I soon realize that money is not the thing am after. It may be, but unlike Facebook which has over 2 billion users per month, Steemit is a more excellent website, with over 500k users, posting quality content, and with users that are enthusiastic!

Many people quit before realizing how beautiful Steemit actually is, but the ones that stay are the best.

I can proudly say today that why I joined Steemit is no longer the reason why I chose to stay!

As I've heard somewhere "come for the rewards, stay for the community."

Had the same mentality as you when I started, it was due to the reason I needed but honestly if I had the mentality to create quality content back then I would be in a much better position right than I was a few months ago.

Steemit for me was a realisation that hard work will pay off, so therefore good luck and I hope you succeed on this too bro. Steem on!

Thanks bro, hope you success too!
