This adorable little creature is also known as meerkat or scientifically Suricata suricatta and typical is the small and slender appearance. In the wild form it occurs mainly in Africa where it lives in the rather dry areas in small groups and also from a symbolic point of view, it can be associated with the social aspects. One of the best known characteristics is the activity and if you observe this animal you could assume that it's permanently busy with something and in fact this is also true and interesting is that there is a separate division of tasks within a colony where each animal is busy with something specific to ensure survival. The system of the meerkats is reminiscent of a kind of network in which there are ranks and also the communication is interesting and if danger is nearby, it does not take long for the guardians to pass on signals to the others so that they can camouflage themselves in time or in some cases eliminate the attackers. An animal from the group is usually always wide awake and alert and looks for a place from which it keeps an eye on the whole area and this system is probably one of the most important properties for the long life expectancy and it can be said that it has learned to adapt very well. When it's too cold or rainy, the little carnivores hide in the caves which they build themselves at a rapid pace and go a few metres into the depths and these places also serve as their retreat at night when the sleep phase begins.
