The Meaning of Sunset in Alchemy

Here are pictures of an enchanting sunset I recently took and in this post I would like to specifically address the connections to alchemy where this event can often be found. The change of the different times of the day from sunrise to sunset as well as the night is also often associated with transformation and is associated with spiritual development as well as the steps necessary to create the philosopher's stone.
