I’ve been writing too much serious stuff recently, so now…it’s time to get even more serious.
Pangolin
He can be seen here climbing away from some potential victims, to spare them the horror of flailing helplessly against his ferocious metal shielding. His thick scale armor has not been enough to protect him from the most dangerous creature of all, mankind.
The pangolin is the species most commonly sold illegally. The scales have uses in traditional medicines of some cultures. Because of this trafficking, the pangolin is an endangered species.
Indian Rhinoceros
More powerfully armored than their better-known African cousins, the Indian rhino enjoys a thick plate-mail type covering. They are a vulnerable species, though not as aggressively hunted as the pangolin.
Here's a more peaceful scene. They relax safely protected by the thick armor of rhino family love.
Glyptodon
Here's a prehistoric bonus creature- the Glyptodon. About as big and heavy as a Volkswagen Beetle, this animal wandered the Earth during the Pleistocene Era.
Armadillo
Here's a classic, the well-known Armadillo. They can sleep up to 18 hours per day, and they are very skilled at digging. They can create networks of tunnels underground, where they get their well-deserved beauty sleep. They're also great at swimming, with a 6-minute breathspan underwater.
