That would be the ideal scenario in your case for sure. Hopefully people will see the value of what you have to offer based on the diversity of your content moving forward.

I would say that it's good to experiment and feel out what your audience relates to. Sometimes people might like a bit or both, so it is definitely worth a try. I definitely don't think this is going to hurt your blog or following by any means.
