Many people on steemit like to welcome new people aboard, heavy hitters too.
That's nice, makes people feel welcomed and encourages some posting.
I try to look over the daily influx myself and look for like minded people to say a hello and welcome to. met some very nice people that way.
Even better now I can toss a little change their way too.
