What's Steems Opinion On Our Logo Design?

Hey guys! Myself, Jaegar (@jaegar) and Arthur (@coca861) are shortly going to be releasing our first smart contract! The website is not fully ready to be shown, however our TBA page can be found at PixelProperty.io.

As you all know, first impressions can often make or break things. Coming up with an appealing look for a product is always challenging, especially when not a single person on the team is an artist. Our team primarily composes of three software developers, so we’re out of our element when it comes to marketing or graphic design.

I wanted to ask the Steem community for some help deciding on a theme to go towards for our twitter, @pixelpropertyio. We have two concepts we quickly threw together and are internally debating between. We figured this community would be the best place to ask for some advice!

So if you’ll bear with me, I’d like to introduce the product and our themes :)

PixelProperty

PixelProperty is a constantly evolving canvas of tradable digital property where the owners of property may upload any image they like, or allow the community to take control of the property. Digital properties in PixelProperty are tradable blockchain tokens powered by Ethereum. Each property is a separate individual token, which can have its appearance altered to its owners desire. Where Bitcoin and Ethereum are cryptocurrencies, these are cryptocollectables. Cryptocollectables can be bought, sold, or traded like any collectable item. PixelProperty, however, does use a cryptocurrency under the hood. The cryptocurrency known as Pixel (PXL) is generated to users based on contributing to the canvas, as well as is generated over time to property owners. The cryptocurrency is effectively the incentive system of the digital canvas.

The end goal of PixelProperty is to create an evolving 1000x1000 pixel digital canvas that changes day in and out. We plan on for it to be both used for casual, playful, artistic use, as well as potentially for advertisement means. Assuming the contract ends up generating sufficient income, we plan on building a live updating billboard of the digital canvas, placing it in a highly populated city, to give some real-world value to our digital real estate.

Theme #1

ThemeOne.png

If we followed this theme, we were thinking of extending the street in the banner to become a city. Probably get a better artist to redo a banner following this theme.

Theme #2

ThemeTwo.png

If we followed this theme, we were thinking of ways we could make the banner look cooler. We could arrange the pixel colours in such a way that we display an image our of the pixels, such as spell “Digital Canvas” or something.

Thanks for reading! If you have any feedback on which theme direction you think would be best, please leave a comment in the bottom section below! Hopefully the main website & white paper will be released in the next couple days, with the smart contract released in a week :)

Theme #2 :)

I do like #2, but I feel the banner needs to be arranged in some way. I feel like it's too much space to just stay random. But I don't think it should spell out word or anything too detailed. Maybe something like, the road and city design in #1 drawn in low resolution on #2's banner in the coloured pixels?

I personally like theme #1- if it had more buildings, etc. I think it would look really good

That's what we were originally thinking, a more complicated street with buildings if we went with that one. @thenikster Offered to take a crack at it the other day. Not sure if she's given it a try or not yet, but I definitely think it could look really cool
