One Strong Community: Continuing to Strive for Impact

in #blog2 years ago

Hey everyone, it's me, @boycharlieplays, and I want to talk about the latest @onestrong post.

As the founder and executive director of the One Strong community, I'm proud to share our latest updates and plans for our community, foundation, and programs. Despite the disappointment of our latest post not receiving any upvotes, we're not losing hope and will continue to strive for impact and success. But we're not giving up. As a community, we are passionate about our mission to inspire and support one another in our personal and professional lives. We will continue to create content that supports and encourages everyone in our community.

Creating Proposals for Grants and Hive DAO Consideration

At One Strong, we're committed to making a positive difference in our community and taking things to the next level.

We also have some exciting plans in the works. We will seek to create further proposals for grants and Hive DAO consideration, continue to teach the Interns Career Readiness skills, and forge a path toward legitimizing our Community Program as a Nonprofit Organization in Massachusetts.

We're excited to announce that our Fall Cultural Council Grant proposal has been approved, granting us $2,000 to bring on three new interns! @arojasost, @jtpaganost, and @jtorresost will join our current team led by Charles Laboy (@boycharlieplays) and work with us to expand our community programs. Through this internship program, we aim to equip young adults with the tools and resources needed for their future careers. This grant will enable us to provide hands-on training, mentorship, and career readiness skills to empower our members and positively impact our community. We’re thrilled to use this grant to support and enable community members as they pursue their professional goals.

A Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) is a type of entity that operates autonomously on the Hive blockchain. It comprises members who work together to propose, debate and vote on proposals for funding projects or initiatives. Using distributed ledger technology, DAOs can operate without central authority or third-party interference. The team wishes to create a proposal on the Hive blockchain to receive the funds necessary for supporting such a program and its participants. By creating this proposal through a DAO platform, it provides absolute transparency into how donations are being used as well as accountability by making sure all members involved have consensus before moving forward with any project-related decisions or actions taken towards achieving its objectives set forth at the beginning of each proposal cycle/rounds.

Additionally, it allows stakeholders outside of just those within this organization’s ecosystem (interns included)to be involved in some capacity as either donors or voters depending upon what type of initiative is being proposed during each round, thus further contributing positively toward helping build stronger future leaders within our community!

Teaching Career Readiness Skills to Interns

Our Interns Career Readiness program is one of our core initiatives, and we're thrilled to continue offering this invaluable program to our interns. Our program focuses on equipping interns with the necessary skills and tools to succeed in their future careers. We believe that investing in our interns' career readiness skills is an investment in the future of our community and the broader workforce.

At the One Strong Community program, interns receive various career readiness skills that will help them excel in their future jobs. These skills include business management, resume building, networking, and professional conduct.

  • Business Management: Interns gain invaluable experience learning how to manage a business. They have an opportunity to work with other interns and staff members to develop processes that are necessary for running a successful organization. In addition, they get hands-on knowledge about financial planning and budgeting, which is essential for any organization or company.
  • Resume Building: At the One Strong Community program, interns also receive training on how to build effective resumes that showcase their abilities and accomplishments to stand out from others applying for similar positions. This includes writing impressive cover letters that can be used when sending applications off for potential job openings or internships at companies looking for new talent in various fields such as marketing or engineering, among many others available today due to advances in technology making more specialized roles possible than ever before thanks largely by online platforms like LinkedIn where applicants can easily search through listings quickly and apply directly using just one click of the mouse button!
  • Networking: The ability to network is often seen as an essential skill, especially when it comes down time job hunting after graduation day has arrived! Fortunately enough, this program covers all bases here, too, since there are plenty of chances throughout its duration either face-to-face meetings with professionals who could serve as mentors down the line -or if students prefer going digital via social media forums like Twitter & Instagram where contact information can easily be accessed without having left home comfort zone!

All these options ensure every participant gets connected, so no opportunity slips away unseen nor unheard about during his/her journey into adulthood employment. Worldwide open possibilities await them soon enough, provided good grades keep coming. Professional Conduct: Last but not least, we mustn't forget proper behavior etiquette both inside and outside classroom environments because employers tend to judge individuals based on the way they act rather than what they say alone; therefore, being able to show respect towards authority figures while maintaining polite conversation goes long way getting hired first place even though sometimes hard remember especially between peers – luckily our facilitators always remind us to stay courteous code conduct under all circumstances regardless situation may arise so no valuable lessons missed very much appreciated indeed case anyone doubts efficacy such approach think again success stories abound everywhere around role models come different shapes sizes yet share common trait remain humble unassuming whenever meet new people smile spread positive energy whole lot easier land dream job someday soon!

Forging a Path Towards Legitimizing our Community Program

We're excited to announce that we're working towards legitimizing our Community Program as a nonprofit organization in Massachusetts. This will allow us to further our impact and provide our members with even more valuable services and support. We're dedicated to creating a robust, supportive community that empowers and uplifts its members.

You’re doing good work, I must admit. I don’t believe there’s room for more critique other than continue with your regular delivery and focus on your network of distribution for posts. As it concerns games, connect with the HIVE Gaming community. As it concerns food and culinary arts, try Foodies Bee Hive.

Among quality and community driven work, you’re striking at an underserved population with a value-generating niche, the results will demonstrate themselves. I followed the One Strong page and aim to contribute my vote each time you post.

Keep up the good work.

Appreciate the kind words and the follow. Last week we were discussing how to protect their keys and actually log in each one of their subjects fits into a certain community here so my thought is to have their individual content featured on their accounts but in those specific communities.

  • Foodies Bee Hive for Culinary student
  • STEM for the Drafting Student
  • and CINETV for the student writing about the marvel movies.
