Ride with me #44: The day I felt like a mermaid #throwback (Day 26)

in #blog6 years ago

Hey Steemit !

It was an early start to my day in Sohra, my rider friends took me to a very secluded falls. We had to go off-road for about 11 kms to get there and being newly unexplored, we had to struggle through the trail.

After having parked our bikes on the road side, we walked down for about 15 minutes towards the falls.
On reaching there, i was dumbstruck!! Never had i ever imagined I would witness such a beauty. It was a 2-stepped falls. The water again was crystal clear. With the lush green surroundings and white sand teeming the waters, it looked and felt like paradise. We spent many hours there swimming and taking photographs. By late noon, we had our packed lunch and after having relaxed for a while, we headed back to the water. For once, I felt like a mermaid, never wanting to get out of the water.

By dusk, we left the place (of course i reluctantly did) and headed to the guest house for a quick bath.
My friend insisted that we hurry because another surprise was in store for me.
By around 7 p.m., we rode down to a place called Laitkynsew. As we rode, i could see the beautiful lights galore at the horizon.

Finally we reached the spot whereby we were at a mountain top, and what was even better was the view of Bangladesh at night. You could see the city of Sylhet and even Chittagong. The beautifully lit houses in Bangladesh was such a sight on a starry night. I thought to myself, oh how i wish i could ride on that foreign soil. Yes one fine day i will.
