Time-Lapse gone wrong

in #blog5 years ago (edited)

Sometimes nature and people just do not cooperate the way you would like them to. On this particular evening/early morning the clouds in the sky added a haze to parts of the sky I was trying to capture. I decided to continue to run the time-lapse and shoot other angles to make the most of the time I had already invested. I was taking long exposure shots across the street so I could get a better view of the mountain and populated area off in the distance. A car ended up driving by towards the end of one of the long exposures and created a cool light beam effect from the combination of headlights and tail lights. In the end it did not turn out completely wrong and I had a few things I could work with that added a new element to the captures.

The above shot is a long exposure with a car driving by towards the end.

Here is the shot without the car

Finally a short clip from the time-lapse with the car driving past.

Hope you enjoyed the shots
