That's really nice. Because, typically, that's one of the worst parts about being here. If you come here to visit D.C., walk around the Capitol for a few minutes.
You'll see all the people in suits that you see pretty much everywhere. It's all lobbyists. They run this place.
It's disgusting. It makes you want to puke. That's who actually runs this country here.
How many of them are former congressmen, Nick? How many of them are former congressmen? How many of them are former congressmen? Well, you should see how much Kevin McCarthy is making right now. Not just because he's a pussy and got thrown out of office, but he is making millions upon millions now lobbying for foreign countries and such. So there's a revolving door.
That's one of the biggest problems here in Washington as well. You see, so people get into government work. They'll work for, like, this is sort of a different example, but the Department of Defense, let's say.
And then they'll get the security clearance that the government will pay for, and then they'll roll over into a defense contractor. And that's how you have so many people in the defense industry that have government-funded, top-secret security clearances, and they make tons and tons of money. And then they go back and forth between the Pentagon and the private sector, and that's how you get all these bloated contracts.
It's disgusting, and I wish Elon stuck around long enough to dig further into the business department, because that's where the gold was going to be found right there. Hey, Nick, don't talk about my job like that. I also, on the whole Elon thing, I just want to say, like, dude, I'm so appreciative, because, like, you know how frustrating it is to, like, fucking know, like, the places that the corruption in government is and how hard it is to get anything to change about all of it? And so, like, even though I want to build the past, like, I relate so much to, like, Elon's crash out over the whole thing.
