Why is it that a well written post sometimes does not get the attention of readers?
Is it the content or the language expression in it?
Is it the technicality behind the post?
So many questions but I have come to realise it is simply asking yourself 'What am I doing wrong'?
It is essential you ask yourself such question when you see things are not going well as planned.
It enables you reorganise your message, enables you to critically understand your audience, what they want to hear and interact with.
Your post (message) has to connect with the emotions of your audience, it needs to strike them at the part it sparks their own thoughts. It should be able to conceive new ideas and initiate discussion.
Provide suggestions and solutions to problems, should equally evoke more questions that will bring a different perspective to what is on ground.
For a good post to succeed it should ask the question of 'What am I doing wrong'?
What do you think is necessary to make a good post?
I understand this is a blog post about getting rewarded on quality content than about getting people to read and leave comments..
Truth is, it's no more about the content people create.. people are here to get rewardedabove everything else.. so they usually upvote posts that they believe will give them curation rewards.. and posts of newbs like us hardly give the whales and dolphins of steemit any sizeable rewards..
But if you can join a community on this platform such as @airhawk-project or @sndbox - @stach with community support, you could get better rewarded for your quality original content..
Oh by the way, I saw this on Sola app..
You have a new follower here tho..
This is !originalworks
@joecxt true about what you said, i believe steemians should leave reward as a secondary priority. What matters most is what is needed to be heard, what your audience should interact with and the content should spark thoughts.
i am following right back
As a newb myself I've noticed that it's very difficult for your content to get noticed, let alone upvoted. But I'm still going to power through and support other newbz where I can.
cheers.. also join a community
I think even good posts get overlooked. There are hundreds of posts put up everyday, which means that your post quickly goes down the list of new posts as others come in. Unless people go far down the list of new posts to where your post is "buried", chances are they'll never even see it. You have to be lucky enough to be seen and resteemed by a popular steemian with many followers.
that is very true @diiva1981, it seems you just have to be at the right time for your post to be seen. But apart from that, what do you think makes a good post?
I think a post should be well written in terms of grammar and spelling, otherwise people might not know what you mean or worse get annoyed and stop reading. Little mistakes are ok. For me personally, a post shouldn't be too long, unless the subject is absolutely riveting. A little humor also goes a long way. You should have a catchy title and a good first sentence, since these will be seen by steemians looking for a post to read. It will be the first thing to grab their attention.
i like this.
