Blogging! What's your niche on steemit? Ask me not but yourself.

in #blog7 years ago

A blog (shortening of “weblog”) is an online journal or informational website displaying information in the reverse chronological order, with latest posts appearing first. It is a platform where a writer or even a group of writers share their views on an individual subject.

Having a defined blog is really something to desire. Having a defined blog on the steemit blockchain helps you to get more followers and build your account easily. You can't be the jack of all trades and master of none.

From the ideaology of blogging, I blogged for some years before moving to steemit from platforms like (blogger, xenforo,WordPress) that is why most of the domain name, actually suggest what the blog is all about e.g livescore.com,www.goal.com.

To build a defined blog on steemit, you have to fully discover what you are best at doing. If you think you are more interested in sports, tech, comedy, stay and be specific about them. Actually, at intervals you can decide to had more fun but don't go out of the general blog topic.

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN DECIDING YOUR BLOG NICHE ON STEEMIT:

Staying on a niche on steemit is awesome, but there are so many things to consider before the Major topic you want to be writing all about is.

  • Determine how much you know about and how much original content you can write on the topic.
  • Do not choose a topic you actually get bored while reading about on someone else blog.
  • Be special, look at the point of interest of steemians where most steemians don't write about.

The unfortunate truth is that some niches are just too small and growth will plateaux at a certain point, you’ll struggle to increase your traffic and you’ll run out of content ideas. And this is one of the reasons why you need to be very sure about your niche. What do you think you can always write, talk, and gist about? Even when you don't get paid, or when you don't have to think much before giving the real facts?

WHAT MAKES THE REAL BLOGGER? WHAT DO YOU THINK?

At this point in time, I decovered that many successful bloggers today actually started their blogs for fun. They never had it at the back of their minds that they were doing it to earn a living. But to talk of the whole thing today, now they don't just earn a living but a very large one. THOSE THAT MEAN YOU SHOULDN'T THINK OF THE MONEY?

If I'm to answer that, I could say yes, don't think about the money. Not that you shouldn't think about it at all but the bitter truth there is that:

For every business, your capital and strategies determines your wealth. - Nucleus

So it is! Do you think you don't need a capital to start blogging? That's the first task. You need a very good host for your blog. Aside using Steemit here for free, using some good hosts outside there is actually not for free, you need some cash to purchase them and must importantly, your Internet connection! Or is your Internet for free? I don't know that but here in my own shoes, you pay for your Internet connection.

Now look at your niche, your capital, your passion and time, can you make it with BLOGGING?

That's a question for you alone, and try to be truthful to the ownself.
