RE: BlockTrades beginning development of Steem Proposal System

in #blocktrades6 years ago
  1. why do you say funding from STEEMIT when you plan to take rewards from all STEEM based channels?!

  2. you say "Approximately $55K USD worth of STEEM will be paid from Steemit to Blocktrades for each month of work" will the 10% of the author rewards be adjusted as the price fluctuates up or down to keep at $55k or do you plan to benchmark the amount of STEEM

  3. Being a top 20 witness and running services charging premiums for years surely you are one the most paid out of the STEEM ecosystem why should more funds be allocated?

  4. what if your proposal does not add value?

Sort:
  1. There's two separate issues at play: 1) coding the proposal system (which is being paid for directly by Steemit) and 2) how the proposal system funds future proposals.
  2. In case, it wasn't clear from 1), Steemit is just transfering some Steem from their account to ours. Our payment won't come from the proposal system.
  3. I have to pay people to do this work. The ongoing payment for running a top 20 witness wouldn't begin to cover it.
  4. Then Steemit will have wasted some of its Steem paying us for it.
  1. there is a talent pool for devs/programmers already on steem with @utopian-io by @elear with the majority of their funding from Steemit Inc via @misterdelegation (2 million SP {about $40 per vote))
  • this should help with majority of coding without adding more inflation
  1. what is this mention of using 10% of autor pool to fund? also how would using portion of reward pool stop extra inflation tokens are still created

  2. current prices maybe but average price is nearly 10 times the current and by statements from steemt inc cost to run witness nodes is reduced greatly and will only be further lessened

  3. meaning was in context of divertying 10% of author reward
