If you have an account on BlockTrades (https://blocktrades.us), you can now login to your account to extend the time period of any active Steem Power delegations you have leased from BlockTrades. Once a delegation has expired, you cannot extend it: you must purchase a new delegation at that point.
Save Money by Extending
We offer a 7 day discount on delegation extensions versus purchasing a brand new delegation. This is because we normally lose 7 days worth of delegation time whenever a delegation ends due to the rules of the Steem blockchain.
So if you purchase a 30 day extension to an existing delegation instead of buying a new 30 delegation, you will save about 20%.
To Extend a Lease
- Login to your BlockTrades account and go to your profile page.
- Select Steem Delegations menu option to see your existing delegations.
- Press Extend button beside the delegation you want to extend.
- Select the currency you wish to pay with.
- Press the Get Deposit Address button to get instructions on how to make a payment.
- Send funds using the instructions given. The more funds you send, the longer the delegation will be extended. You can reuse the same deposit address whenever you want to further extend the delegation.

If you are leasing a new delegation, go to the "Quick Trade" page after you login, then select a Receive coin type of "Steem Power Delegation" (either the 30 or 90 day version). The Steem delegations page you mention above is for seeing and/or extending your existing delegations.

Click on the receive currency tab, scroll down and Steem Delegation is at the bottom. Choose the length of service, choose currency to pay with. Then you're all set.

You would be better off buying your own Steem to power up if you want to make a profit. The rates don't allow for profit through curation rewards.

how about taking the second (extension) with the same fund, is the delegate (SP) also the same?
habits I have ever hired a delegate, if on the second take-out (extension) it increases. whether on @blocktrades also so?
Extensions just increase the time of an existing delegation. If you want to get more SP delegated to you, you can buy a separate delegation to add more SP. If you have multiple existing delegations, you can individually extend each one (you get a separate deposit address for each delegation).

It's for existing delegations as well, but as per our original post, you can only extend a delegation if you were signed in to your blocktrades account when you originally purchased it.

You earlier in the article explained that you could extend, for instance a 30 day delegation with a 30 day extension (thus saving 20% on the cost of the 30 day delegation..thus presumably basically getting 37 days for the cost of 30).

The 30 day extension was just an example for price comparison against a new delegation. You can extend for arbitrary amounts of time (for example 1 day to 1 year). It's pretty linear for extensions, so a 90 day extension costs 3 times as much as a 30 day extension. And a 15 day extension costs half of a 30 day extension. Our site provide an estimate for 30 day and 90 day extensions of the delegation as a base line (see the second picture on the post).
Ok so it's still buying x amount of time. 'The more you pay the more time you get' is the same thing technically, it just sounded weird to me. Thanks for clarifying.
One of your delegation [@]fatkat is trolling me. He also recently got a notice from steemcleaners for copypasta. Is that violation of your delegation lease terms of service?
Actually I reviewed his overall actions on steem after you made your post about him a while back and decided it didn't rise to the level that justified terminating his delegation.

One commenter had a problem using an older version of iOS (i.e. an apple device). The issue went away when he updated to a later version.

If you purchased the delegation while signed into your BlockTrades account, then you can extend it. If you purchased it without signing in, you can't extend it.

I did a loan earlier in November but I was not aware that we needed to be signed in with credentials on your site. I added another loan today also not signed in.
Will the first and second loan both expire after 90 days from the original loan date?
So it's safer and better to do any blocktrades transactions by logging in first?

If I sign into Blocktrades next month and take another loan will this be a taken as new loan or join with my previous loan?
I would prefer to always extend my loan each month, will I have to wait for the first loan to expire first or can I do new loan next month by logging into Blocktrades before taking the loan.
