But none of them have worked out very well, Steemit, Hive, ProofOfBrain, VerifyYourBrain, Flote, Blurt.
We got conned a bit, LOL...

Weird, I was just thinking of you, and several other interesting people who are no longer around, poof you appeared.
Steem had potential, and Hive still does.. but the mine was a terrible idea for the distribution of tokens.
The skill set it takes to mine tokens with broken instructions and the skill set it takes to be a visionary with purpose are very different things. In addition, they had way too much arrogance to hire any consultants or even listen to those with organizational backgrounds, so here we are. Some still writing plastic essays. :)
What a ride though, I'm happy for it just the same.
You imagined me into existence! - Yeah this site is really pretty good, and I feel like I've tried them all, but we all got hounded off it. To tell the truth the others are all train wrecks, including Blurt which is just plain boring.
Yeah, afraid so, I'm back for my three monthly look - Peakd still works better than any other front end I've ever used but the same corrupt cabal is in charge of content and payouts. Sometime I wobble close to saying FUCK THEM, and just posting whatever I feel like with the rewards turned off, meanwhile using my massive pile of alt accounts to do all the comments with, as a work around for the fact that everything I post and every comment or reply I do is instantly downvoted.

Sometimes posting for rewards feels like I am just feeding the dragon.
Everything ends up in tricklenomics inevitably to one person. Either whoever is currently on top, or the guy with the master plan to secure that spot forever.
The handful of honchos vying for that position (and doing unmentionable deals under the sheets together) are still on their soapboxes preaching how they are the ones who will save Hive from the corruption of the masses. "Freedom is dangerous, vote for Palpatine." Not always as charming as that, but the same jist. So hypocritical.
So is the way in every land.
Carve out what you can, while you can, I figure.
Nobody can currently stop anyone from writing to the Hive Blockchain, so take advantage of using it as obscenely or less than the worst unchallenged offenders. The masses currently outweigh the fatty few.
