My Three Point of Investment Worthy Criteria

In my previous articles, I have talked about what Wemark is as a protocol and as a marketplace for digital content with its first use case been Wemark.com. A platform dedicated and built for stock photography. Today we are looking at why Wemark is such an investible project. Before we discuss more, I would like to remind you if you haven’t been following my works. There are three things I consider worthy of a project for me to put my money is. One of those three is Uniqueness of Technology/Idea/Product. Another is Adoption and lastly Marketing. I will talk briefly of the three items of interest above. 

  Uniqueness of Technology/Idea/Product 

In terms of Uniqueness, a distributed marketplace for digital content is not unique on its own. But the kind of commodities which are to be traded on such platform presents its uniqueness. The Stock photography industry is a Billion Dollars industry which is run by centralized organizations much to the detriment of content producers in terms of monetary reward, licensing agreement etc. 

This is where the uniqueness of Wemark comes in. Wemark employs the decentralized model which serves to protect and ensure content producers get a lot of reward for their content while also ensuring they are exposed to a whole lot of stock photograph consumers through their partnership with Wibbitz and Gurushot. 

In the heart of the Wemark protocol are many other exciting features which will be built onto it as the Blockchain technology develops such as Decentralized Storage System. That, my friend is Unique. 

Adoption Rate 

The blockchain technology which was developed in 2008/2009 has seen some unprecedented growth. That has sparked new ideas of doing businesses. The interest rate in blockchain technology has grown so high that according to a study recently done in an Africa nation, 1 out of 5 persons asked about cryptocurrency/blockchain agreed that they have heard of it and are interested. 

The coupled with the grievances of content producers over how reward for their work is handled by agencies, a presentation of a distributed alternative which is better than how their work was previously handled and the cost of self distribution are factors which will drive the adoption rate of the Wemark Digital Content Marketplace. 

A business arrangement where a content producer controls the right to his work and the price also is quite an fascination which will drive adoption of the platform. Not to mention level of brilliance behind the project. Uniqueness of project is good. Adoption rate can only be made possible when there is adequate marketing to drive awareness to the mind of content producers. Therefore to my last point on this article…marketing....

 Marketing 

The success of any fantastic, mind bending, brain twisting project is based on marketing. If you don’t blow the alarm or horn, no one who look at you. Consider a truck that sells ice cream driving pass a neighborhood without his selling-music, its definitely going to burn out his fuel and cooling unit. That is how much marketing is vital for the success of a project. 

On the marketing aspect, I don’t know their marketing plan, but considering the brains behind the project, I will list the potentials of a good marketing exercise. Co-founder/CEO Tai Kaish has been in the digital marketing environment over a decade. 

That is some interesting experience gathered over the years working with some top organizations. Having the CEO of an organization/project as a marketing genius, is some assurance of a well thought of marketing plan. Also considering the qualifications of Advisors of the project backing it, there is a good deal of chance that a successful marketing campaign awaits investors.
