RE: Could “Blockchain” Technology Be The Savior From Censorship For Non-Mainstream Media Outlets?

Censorship is violence. It's why I came here, because I saw that censorship was becoming the new normal. I find stuff has been purged almost daily now. The terrorist attack on Christchurch has been heavily censored, and I am confident this will cost lives very soon, because New Zealand is being censored ISP by ISP, as sites that support free speech are having their DNS records deleted by Kiwi ISPs. This blinds Kiwis to threats, such as those Tarrant posted on 8chan long before his attack. When the Muslim backlash comes, the sites the assailants brag about their impending attack on may well be unavailable to Kiwis, and the blood of those slain will be increased in the streets as a result - and be on the hands of censors.

Fakebook, Twatter, and Youtool are signing their death warrants by censoring their platforms, as people seek real information, and will find it on other platforms. But these platforms are being artificially subsidized by political agencies intent on making them as popular as possible in order to create walled gardens wherein they can control what people think. This may take a while to fail, and in the meantime, sites which won't allow censorship to blind their users are being cut off from markets by ISPs that control what their users can access.

Even if we turn to blockchains to preserve data, we still can only access those blockchains via ISPs. We need alternative mechanisms that are just as decentralized as blockchains to access the internet. ISPs are now the front lines of the assault on free speech. If we can't access the net, we can't speak or hear others speak. We need mesh networks.

Thanks!
