RE: CloudFlare Just Launched Its IPFS Gateway, And Why I Think This Is Important

It is interesting, and encouraging. I note however, that I have read that Cloudflare has participated in shunning and precluding from the internet folks that have been considered undesirable, and this gives me pause. I am not entirely confident that any entity on the internet, including even Cloudflare, is devoid of involvement in censorial or propaganda enterprises.

Given that inability to voice utter confidence in Cloudflare, it's adoption of IPFS, even if on a limited basis, engenders suspicion of the security of IPFS. I dunno enough about the technology to make any determination, but my prior experience has shown that my SOP of expecting that everything is backdoored, and nothing is secure is holding true so far.

All I do know is that less centralization is cheaper, faster, and better than before, and the more ways and means we have of decentralizing communications and information the more secure and verifiable our communications and information are.

Thanks!
