To put it simply, we at UNICO have the ambition to revolutionize the collectibles market! As described in our first Medium blog post , we turn premium digital content (images, videos, 3D models, immersive AR/VR tours, games, …) into limited-edition, blockchain-certified collectibles.
Digital creators will be able to make their best content collectible. Their supporters and other collectors worldwide will purchase and trade UNICO collectibles seamlessly via the Ethereum blockchain.
We achieve this by linking each piece of digital content to a fixed number of access tokens that we issue on the Ethereum blockchain. This process powers what we call provable digital scarcity.
We are proud to have been selected by cofound.it as one of the first five blockchain startups to join their Seed Program.
We feel that the steemit ecosystem is the ideal place for us to get feedback and engage with supporters. In particular, we look forward to engaging Steemizens as potential content creators as well as collectors. In the coming days and weeks we will release project announcements as well as working prototypes.

This is a great project, somehow the blockchain content could be claimed by the creator, and the system should contain the option to claim the content whenever used without permission from the creator.

Limited edition size and ownership are certified by the blockchain. If the content is good, and originates from a creator who has many followers and fans, then the collectible is valuable, and in fact the value can grow over time.

It seems to me that "digital scarcity" is an oxymoron. What does the world stand to gain by forcing certain digital items to be scarce?
It used to be, before UNICO :-) Seriously, digital scarcity adds value to premium digital content. We are flooded by worthless, unlimited digital content. Now, valuable items can be made scarce, and you can own them.
I love this idea. No one better to oversee a rise to championship levels like AN ACTUAL CHAMPION.
