I completely agree with you that social media have become a big part of our life and it is difficult to leave it. But, traditional social media win't cut it anymore. There are many reason for it but the most important reason is security and privacy. I mean, look what Facebook done. One of the most important quality for a successful social media is trust. Yet, Facebook completely disregard that trust and throws it away in the gutter. Now, more than 500 million personal data of their users are compromised. If you use Facebook then your personal data is probably among those data. In a decentralized social media on the other hand this sort of thing won't happen. So scratch traditional social media and go to decentralized one.
Thanks for the interesting article @syedumair. Also, there is a minor typo in the article. You wrote "Sfemmit" instead of Stemmit. That's all.

Thank you for reading the entire post and pointing out the typo error.
I know that it is very hard to us to leave social media completely but there will be more and more apps like facebook, twitter or instagram in the future.
Although it will take time but centralised social media will no longer exist.
