What is currently wrong with market places? Centralization. Ebay has been called a peer-to-peer marketplace, except its sort of a faux peer-to-peer because well, Ebay is in the mix. Amazon especially comes to mind as well. With the advent of blockchains, that phrase "peer-to-peer" has finally taken on the original, correct and intended meaning. A peer-to-peer market place should simply be a platform for trading where the actual trade happens without of a third party.
Decentralization is very important. Centralized models have shown to be ineffective and borderline tyrannical in the long run. Just to scratch the surface, these centralized models have sellers and buyers submitting boatload of data all for the sake of the chance to sell on a platform that neither cares for sellers or buyers, instead is looking to make the maximum amount of profit by any means necessary. This unwarranted behavior is largely facilitated by the centralization and confiscation of data by these companies. It is common fact that "whosoever holds the data makes the rules".
The Clever marketplace is a fully decentralized, 100% redundant, blockchain-based, public marketplace where anyone and everyone will be able to buy and sell a variety of items. There is a utilization of blockchain technology to store listing details, as well as proof of transaction and shipping tracking records (for dispute resolutions). The Clever Marketplace is driven by CleverCoin transactions, fully integrating the CleverCoin into the service to maintain utilization and relevancy. Also there are incentives for masternode operators to receive commissions for facilitating ad listings (fees) and marketplace transactions.

There was a premine of 1000000 CLVR to be applied towards bounties and a masternode pre-sale which is to be applied towards funding initial listings on exchanges and other running costs. The Clever development team have been hard at work simultaneously working on and releasing the Clever wallet on Linux, Mac and Windows; the masternodes and a fully functional block explorer. However work on the Clever marketplace continue to undergo active development and extensive testing and would be released to the public very soon.

The Clever blockchain and masternodes are fully operational and miners and maternode operators are already getting rewarded for their work on the network. The masternode presale is on for a short time and would be closed once the few allocated masternodes have been completely sold. Hi, I'm Richard. I'd like to think of my self as an I/O Tinkerer, whatever that means. Anyway I code and write about the blockchain from time to time. You can follow me on Twitter if you don't mind occasional ramblings and xkcd screenshots!
