Introduce Yourself

Whats up guys,

My name is Oscar and I just wanted to introduce myself to the Steemit crowd. I am fairly new to the blockchain scene but was talked into it by two of my teammates in two interesting ways. The first was an elevator pitch thrown at me by my friend Ben and his new investment in Bitcoin. This pitch introduced me to the blockchain world and how a group of different entities came together to authorize/legitimize the millions of transactions going on throughout the world on a second to second basis. Soon after, and as if by fate, my friend Ted informed me of the Steem world, where the engagement between different people had been incentivized in order to produce quality dialogue on the web. Both ideas won me over and the rest is history as I am here now introducing myself on this platform while having just a couple of hours ago invested a couple hundred bucks in Bitcoin. As for myself, this change came close to an interesting point in my life. I am originally from Miami, FL but reside in Massachusetts. In about two weeks or so, I will be traveling to Palmer, Alaska on business and am anxious to see what the trip has to offer as I am fairly certain Alaska will have a different feel than South Florida. Although different, I am excited for this change just as I was excited to enter the blockchain world, both being very new concepts for me. I hope to be posting about my new experiences and engaging with the rest of the Steemit crowd as I move forward this year and happy about joining the blockchain!
