What Do I Do As a Project Lead at OS.University?

As a project lead of OS.University (www.steemit.com/@opensourceuni), I am managing the overall research and development operations of the global award-winning Open Source University project (recognized by AIESEC, EY Latvia and HPE Living Progress Challenge among others).

The project intends to revolutionize the world of education and career development with the help of innovative open source blockchain technologies. I am currently leading an international team of 20 + renowned academicians, technologists, business and NGO leaders, working on creating world’s learning & development ledger on the blockchain.

The main driver behind the project from software development perspective is Rechained Ltd. Company's main areas of operation are blockchain technologies R&D, development of DApps and active participation in the development of crypto communities at regional and global level. Rechained was established in 2017 as a joint venture of IO Era and the Open Source University, combining the expertise of senior research and development teams with international profile.

While Rechained provides the software expertise, there are other partners behind the OS.University project that lead the rest of the project streams, such as research (the Center for Open Science at the Technical University of Sofia) and consultancy (Cobden Partners - UK).

Personal and professional details:

I am an award-winning doctoral candidate at the Technical University of Sofia with previous research residencies in Riga Technical University & Brno University of Technology. I am the author of the book “Stakeholder Management in Higher Education, Research & Innovation” (2014) and the first ever book on blockchain in education ''Academia 4.0: University on the Blockchain" (2018). Expert on Stakeholder Management at the Brain Workshop Institute (Sofia) with vast research background, incl. as a consultant to the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy on the National Research & Innovation Smart Specialization Strategy (S3). I hold bachelor's degrees in Economics and Public Administration, as well as master's degree in Project Management from the New Bulgarian University (Sofia).
