Nowadays we take so many internet things that we use on a daily basis for granted, Google Facebook and many other prominent companies provide their core services for free, but at what cost one might ask?

All the data you generate with your online presence, wall posts, shopping habits, likes and dislikes are all the payment these corporations need to stay profitable. Once collected, you have no control over what gets stored about your internet persona, and this might lead to harmful consequences. With all the advanced machine learning and deep learning algorithms, companies can sometimes predict and tell things about you that are in the realm of sci-fi shows.

One especially poor example is when Target analyzed the shopping basket of a girl, and the machine learning algorithm concluded that she’s pregnant. Thanks to really fast marketing campaigns deployed based on this precious data, newsletters about pregnancy-related products where sent to the girl’s home and her family found out in shock from Target that their daughter is pregnant.

This, however, is not to say that we need to go back to the middle ages and not use technology anymore, but we need to factor in the social implications of our creation and advances. As personally identifiable data has become the new oil or gold, we must take it back from the tight grips of the big companies.

Essentia: Take back control of your data!

With the help of blockchain technology, the people at Essentia (www. essentia.one) propose a shift in the paradigm of data collection where internet users can control what data about their internet presence is being shared and monetized accordingly. With the help of Seeds and Essences which represent data pods in a decentralized network upon which the users will have access to via a secure key.

With the disruption the blockchain technology more and more Dapps (Decentralized Apps) are expected to hit the market. Having the opportunity to opt your data out of the system will be a crucial factor in building the user’s trust within the blockchain ecosystem of choice.

How does it work?

The ecosystem is based on the EssentiaCore which stands at the base that manages the cryptographic layers and executes the sign/ verify/ encrypt/ decrypt/ functions that in their term are the core procedures on which the whole framework is running.

Essences that contain the data and their operations are managed in isolated memory-boxes that are separated from each other so that each extended key is responsible only for its neighboring node of data and so, it can only execute operations with its persistent data and memory-box. This system can be used for just loading and running a standalone module or a more complex setup.

More than a dozen of it can be preconfigured, automated and orchestrated in custom constellations, infrastructures or setups. On every iteration that a Seed is loaded, a secure and trustable decentralized environment is bootstrapped accordingly to the datasets bound with it.

Essentia is the decentralized framework to create, store and access your digital life. With one seed, you can control all of your dApps, identities, data, and assets. From anywhere, on any device, on-chain or cross-chain.

Essentia is an excellent decentralized basis for data management. We do not see this project for the first time. It helps you protect the most important resource of any person. And what is the most important human resource in the digital age? The answer is his personal information.
Data that is collected digitally brings huge amounts of money to the coproducts that collect them. That is, your data is used by other people who get money for it. And what do you get as a result? The answer is nothing.
Essentia is the solution to this problem. Now your personal data will be under reliable protection. It does not matter from which device you are sitting. You will own your personal data and decide how to dispose of them.
The project is highly scalable, so its throughput system can provide access to millions of users.
Another significant advantage that can be distinguished is that Essentia supports various locks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and many others. It can work on any device, IOT or CLI.
At the moment the project is becoming very necessary. It is used by individuals, projects and even entire companies. What does this tell us? This indicates that the problem is relevant in our time. Therefore, the project promises to become very popular and in demand in the near future.

ssentia solves the issues that most commonly arise in today’s highly-connected world. Information is more valuable than ever and can fetch a high price on the market. Essentia gives users a framework which allows them to remain completely anonymous if they wish and also gives them the ability to keep data about their machine private.
By using a secure framework like Essentia, users can be sure that they’re not being taken advantage of. They can filter out what entities are allowed to access data about them. This framework provides a way to fully decentralize your identity.

No information system is 100% secure. Even those who are considered safe today will not be safe tomorrow, given the ability of criminals to find new methods of attack.

Blockchain is a technology that is attracting much attention today, but there are still criticisms that question the scalability, security and sustainability of this technology. While some blockchain technologies provide data privacy, integrity and availability, they also require cyber security controls and standards to protect against external attacks in organizations that use blockchain.

The "Blockchain and Ciber Safety" report, which reflects a common view of Deloitte member companies worldwide, offers an analysis that assesses the safety of blockchain technology in particular.

Indeed it is not secure in internet..We use internet daily in our life and share our information which can be easily misuse by people for their own interest...It is very difficult to be safe online and we never know our persona is going on wrong hand...
It is very important to protect ourself from such scam and information insecurity.
@essentiacore is a great idea and plateform which incript, decript once after verification and sign up...This a great change for us to prevent from leakage of our personal information...Our cyber security is very important specially in blockchain market where people can hack easilt as it has already happened.
Now we can decide what data we want to share and disclose.
Thanks @danizaharie

You are absolutely right, an analysis of all data that are being collected by giant networks like facebook or google and others, In business, they can utilize the likes and dislikes of people and be able to sell the right product and be able to come up with an advertising plan. Elaborating further they can actually use this analysis to able to predict the behavior of a particular age group, an entire society, and even the entire humanity. I am sure there are pros and cons for this type of issue. But I think whether we like it or not that's the point we are heading, at least at the moment.

Essentia describes itself as "the framework for your decentralized digital life".
The platform fuctions as a decentralized operating system. It can be accessed by humans, machines, IoT devices, and more.
With Essentia, decentralized and centralized resources are integrated in one single place. Things like user data and personal data are connected to someone's digital ID, and that digital ID can be anonymous, pseudo anonymous, or public.
Overall the Essentia whitepaper describes the platform as the multi-asset and multichain decentralized swiss-knife that everyone can use and own.
In more straightforward terms, Essentia is a persistent digital ID you can use across multiple platforms services, and environments. Essentia implementations can already be seen in Ethereum, EtherDelta, Storj, and IPFS, among other major blockchain platforms.

Countless cancer survivors have heard of Taxol. It's the powerful chemotherapy drug that came

You had really good point about technology, now days technology is going to vast that we even don’t understand the consequence.we use many internet things that we provide them all the data but we don’t have any personal security.i think @essentia will be the best way to keep our our data control...
Thanks for you information knowledge @danizaharie

Nice post beautiful presented and explained. detail oriented with nice information @danizaharie i like your post . thank you for sharing

You made a post with a topic that is important ... the post really liked me ... and I think it would be good to everyone.

Nice post... sounds like the face recognition trash facebook is proposing to its users.

Data is part of life. I can't imagine my phone running out of data for a day.

Great peace to read thank you!

You wrote a very important post ... Your writing was very good to me ... I hope everyone likes it

@danizaharie, You were nicely explained how does Blockchain works currently compared great examples. Actually we can't managed our internet persona modules. In fact,Essentia do best task using new technology. Essentia hopes to build and offer a complete modular framework for users. That framework will allow users to have full control of their data, identity information, privacy, and assets. The platform functions as a decentralized operating system With Essentia, decentralized and centralized resources are integrated in one single place. Things like user data and personal data are connected to someone’s digital ID and that digital ID can be anonymous or public.

“Essentia is a modular framework that is bootstrapped from a Seed by deriving its extended keys in a hierarchical deterministic way and by associating to them their related “data” that are available encrypted on decentralized storage or on local copies/backups.

They have giving features of secure data backed by strong cryptography, available 24/7 and permanent, flexible and scalable etc... Also many more feature has in this platform. You can find int via Essentia web page. Thanks for given long information to us.

In the light of what you have presented, what then should we do? Our lives as it is revolves around those things.
Your content is quite rich, very informative and educative as well. Thanks a lot.

I agree. If we are not paying for the product, we are the product. Companies take our data, searches, likes etc and use it to push ads on us. If we don’t pay for things (like google and Facebook) we have had to accept this.

Internet companies control of data gives them enormous power. Technologies and the internet have made data abundant, ubiquitous and far more valuable. Artificial intelligence and many algorithm can operate on our data to extract valuable information. All our data gives them tremendous power and more profits.

This is a big problem, given how omnipresent the internet is in the lives of every human alive today, and it's something we should all be concerned about. We are the ones who are giving up our data willingly, and that makes up for all but 100% of these companies bottom line, so remember that we have all the power here.
And hope Blockchain technology will disrupt these industries🙂

"Once collected, you have no control over what gets stored about your internet persona, and this might lead to harmful consequences. "

The only example of the harmfulness of this type of solutions you have provided is sending some targeted products to the pregnant woman.
I believe that fear of development is always exaggerated and unjustified, and in most cases life in a data driven world is much easier and more enjoyable than outside it.
