The few problems that exist with blockchain technology can be categorized as either hard or soft. Issues such as economic finality and parallelism are hard issues, while search, analytics, accounting and interaction are soft.
Search is a current soft problem because while various blockchain search interfaces exist, no single point to index all potential blockchains based on high, medium or low priorities exists.
Analytics of cryptocurrency markets is the next major soft problem in the blockchain industry. The current analytical tools that exist are not clear, and the methodology of collecting information is not transparent. This makes it difficult to verify existing systems.
Accounting is the third most significant soft problem in the blockchain industry. Currently no tools exist to execute accounting measures in a productive manner.
The final most significant soft problem that exists is interaction among blockchains.
With the aim of solving these issues we are currently developing Cyber Node. It’s open source software that helps search and analyze blockchains, conduct accounting for crypto assets and track interactions among blockchains.
Still in the first structural stage, cyber•Node is a simple tool that will allow indexing, make analytics and broadcast transactions. It will be the backhand for the browser that will allow the user to search anything by entering hashes. Additionally, it will be able to provide public access to nodes, allotting the user the ability to scale their nodes and provide public access for the API of blockchain clients. This feature can more commonly be referred to as blockchain scaling.
The main parts of Cyber Node are: Cyber Search, Cyber Markets and Cyber UI.
Cyber•Search
Cyber•Search — recently unveiled at Blockchain Fairytales conference in Minsk, Belarus by CTO Valery Litvin — will serve to further develop blockchain infrastructure by creating a single registry for all registries that exist. At its’ purest and most absolute form, cyber•Search is a decentralized search engine. Think about Google, but decentralized, void of Google’s absolute control over content and evolved enough to be compatible with the internet of things. This is the project that indexes blockchain systems in an attempt to develop decentralized search. The browser will eventually become a crawler for the decentralized search engine, noting everything the user wants with the blockchain and the market. Our cyber•Search project has high, medium and low chain indexing priorities:
- High priorities include: Mempool indexing (Bitcoin & Ethereum), Ethereum (Mainnet, Classic & testnets), Bitcoin (Bitcoin Cash, Dash & Litecoin) and Graphene (Golos, Steem & Bitshares);
- Medium priorities include: Ethereum smart contracts, ERC, Graphene tokens and OP_Return (Bitcoin);
- Low priorities include: Ripple, Stellar, Byteball, NEM and Ardor with child chains.
Next stage: indexing other blockchains and launching the fully functional Blockchain browser
All of these priorities were established based on overall transactional activity. cyber•Search has the following tasks: the stabilization of organization and hub, search DSL, cyber-search.js, supply and analytics related to the implementation of tools from these chains, Rest API related to the implementation of access to the database and Streamer API which is a component that allows the user to subscribe to interesting updates.
Our cyber•Search is currently linked to Bitcoin, Bitcoin cash, Ethereum and Ethereum classic. This allows the user and developer alike to search all information chains at once; something that until today has never been possible. With a multitasking blockchain browser the convenience and utility is enormous. A form of decentralized search is what is needed to support the increasingly vast internet of things.
Cyber•Markets
Our next project, cyber•Markets, integrates with crypto-exchanges. The idea is to create a convenient tool for working with stock exchanges. It establishes tickers according to data, orders and trades. There exists a strong need among the blockchain community for a system that connects nodes with economical protocol and makes sure to graph in accordance with the whole web. Additionally, Rest API will provide access to indexed data and Streamer API will provide access to WebSocket subscription. cyber•Markets also has varying degrees of priority.
- High priority tasks include: the top-7 exchanges by volumes with websocket support, the top-10 exchanges by volumes with Rest API support, etherdelta plus 0x (DEXs) and Graphene (DEXs);
- Medium priority tasks include: Ripple (dEx) and Stellar (dEx);
- Low priority tasks include: Byteball (dEx), Bisq, Stellar (dEx), Nem (dEx) and Ardor (dEx).
Next stage: add other important markets and integrate cyber•Markets with cyber•Node.
Cyber•ui
Cyber•ui is a part of Cyber Node that helps build frontend (stateless web UI) for cyber-markets and cyber-search (blockchain browser).
In 2018, cyber•Fund’s goal along with the creation of our decentralized search engine is to finalize cyber•Node, as well as the blockchain browser.
