Have you ever heard of Kickstarter? Go fund Me? Indiegogo?
I am sure the answer is yes. These are crowdfunding platforms and that is a splendid idea, however not accessible to everyone on this planet, therefore encouraging ideas from certain geographical areas, such as from developed countries, leaving the developing countries separated from the opportunities.
That means a person in Bangladesh or Armenia, or other is less likely to be accepted to present their idea and hope for funding.
Here comes Acorn Collective, a project that aims at decentralising the crowdfunding world, enabling each one of us to get financial support for our ideas, regardless where on the Planet we are.
They want a free and transparent platform to empower fair trading.
Their ecosystem is using OAK, their own ERC20 token for participation and transactions.
The ecosystem will act as:
- crowdfunding hub
- a marketplace open to selling post-crowdfunding goods and services
- point of sale payment app
The whitepaper is emphasising an easy access to all ethnicities, of all genders, from wherever.
