The Blockchain Road Goes Through Asia...and That Is a VERY Good Thing Indeed! :)

Blockchain mania seems to have taken over the U.S., but it may surprise newcomers that we are far, far behind the game.

In an international survey conducted in December 2013, participants in various countries were asked if they heard about #bitcoin. Here are the results, according to Statista.com:

In late 2013, Indonesia was the most #blockchain aware nation at 48%. This is not too far off the awareness level in the U.S. right now, which is at 60%, according to a January 2018 survey conducted by SurveyMonkey and the Global Blockchain Business Council.

What that confirms is that we are well behind the curve; by now, Asian countries have leaped far into the #blockchain, and they ain't coming back!

Take a look at the hemisphere difference when look at bitcoin awareness:

Obviously, the blockchain finds a significant presence in the Asian world, and considering that the majority of the human race is Asian (thanks China and India!), I think we have a bright future ahead of us!

As a Brazilian I can tell you this: People do know about bitcoin, but they think it's some sort of internet ponzi scheme that will fade away. People have absolutely no idea of what blockchain is, they don't even know about ETH, BCH or XRP. So as far as it concerns my country, those numbers are pretty misleading.

Interesting...I see the same data from South Korea: 90-something percent know about bitcoin, only 8% know what a blockchain truly is.

Still, I view this as confirmation that we are still in the early stages of the cryptocurrency rally!

It is true that most of the population in China and India belong to the beautiful continent of Asia. But the continent of America is also distinguished by its population. Most of its population is in steemit, especially the United States.
I do not call anything negative, but I wish success to all the pioneers of the site. What I like here is good speech and the beauty of words. And more than that is your friendship
