This week, we continue our exploration of the Kimera AGI documentary series.

If you’re new to this documentary series, it is focussed on efforts of Mounir ‘Mo’ Shita (Founder and CEO of Kimera AGI) and his Kimera Systems team, as they endeavour to launch a successful ICO for their Artificial General Intelligence product, code-named “Nigel”, in honour of Nigel Deighton, a mentor, friend and former research partner of Mo.

The progress of the Kimera AGI ICO is being documented by marketing specialists, Tribal Media House (led by Co-Founder and CEO, Faris Mubarak), who have been given the task of following the Kimera AGI team as they go about the business of raising awareness and funds for the Nigel AGI project.

The documentary series will record the efforts of the team, from it’s origins through to one year after the ICO Tokensale is completed, in an effort to show the world what it takes to create a successful ICO.

For those of you who missed Part 1 of this article series, it can be found here:

This week, we’re looking at Episodes #5 though #9, and a synopsis of each episode is provided below, along with a link to the related video.

Let’s dig in…

Episode 5 - The 5-Minute Pitch

The Kimera team are still in New York, following their successful visit to the Rochester Institute of Technology (Episode 3) and their unsuccessful attempt at finding suitable accomodation via AirBnB (Episode 4).

Adam Peer, Head of Marketing at Kimera, leaves the rest of the team in New York as he heads back to their home base of Portland, Oregon, to take care of other important Kimera business.

Mo and Faris get a last-minute opportunity to appear on the radio program, Let’s Talk Crypto, with host, Joya Comeaux, where they discuss the reason for choosing the ICO funding model, rather than chasing Venture Capital funding.

Later that night, they host an ICO Presentation in downtown Manhattan.

The following night, they attend the BLOCKCHAINPALOOZA, also in downtown Manhattan, where Mo is given a very challenging 5-minute presentation window to explain AGI, Kimera’s use of Blockchain technology, their ICO, and future economics of the Nigel ecosystem (all of which normally requires a 2-hour presentation).

We meet:

  • Joya Comeaux, host of radio show, Let’s Talk Crypto, on CoffeeTalk.co

  • a seemingly abrasive Attorney (Pitch Judge)

Episode 6 - Nigel

Now back in Portland, Mo receives a text from Sebastien Deighton (son of the late Nigel Deighton), expressing a desire to invest into the Kimera AGI project.

Mo spends some time reflecting on his relationship with Nigel, including the vision they shared for our global future, where “ambient intelligence” devices are commonplace, and the impact this technology will have on our day-to-day lives when that time eventually arrives.

Having called their AGI “Nigel” as a tribute to his late friend and colleague, Mo discusses Kimera’s first Beta Program, where the Nigel agent was loaded onto the phones of people in the community and they were given free movie tickets.

Within 3 days, Nigel had learned to silence the phone and dim the brightness of phone screens when it detected people entering the cinema. There was no programming involved - it was a learned process, based on Nigel’s observations of peoples behaviour - Cause & Effect - which is the basis of Nigel’s knowledge system.

Mo explains that the ICO will allow sufficient funds to raised to give Nigel access to millions of users and expedite the learning process.

We meet:

  • (via photographs) the late Nigel Deighton.

Episode 7 - Ambassador Program

Mo discusses the importance of Social Media for ICOs and the launch of their Ambassador Program, to raise ICO awareness within the crypto-community.

Nicholas Gilman (Co-Founder & Chief Sales Officer) discusses the goals of using an Ambassador Program and the need for it to successfully generate interest in the ICO.

The ambassador program is officially launched by Mo, but then the team struggle to drag him away from the computer, as he seems compelled to constantly check for updates.

Mo seems to consume a lot of energy drinks.

We meet:

  • Josh Watson, Chief Operations Officer, Tribe Media House, who talks about the challenges of pivoting from building the marketing ecosystem to then getting users onboard.

Episode 8 - A Day Trip to L.A.

Mo and the team fly to L.A. for meeting, in an effort to understand how they can improve their initial ICOBench rating of 3.6.

The team come way from the meeting with “Can you imagine a world without Google and Facebook?”, an bold, in-your-face marketing statement that entices potential investors to ask, “How is that possible?”.

We also find out that a Grilled Cheese sandwich costs $21 in L.A. (but it does look good)

Faris and Mo talk about the need to build partnerships and bring on strategic advisors to hopefully increase their ICOBench rating.

This episode finishes with Mo’s rundown on the economics of home-made grilled cheese sandwiches.

We meet:

  • ICO Advisor, Dushan Spalevich, who gives the team some advice on the expected return on investment for marketing, and the need to engage potential investors with bold marketing initiatives. Dushan also emphasises that the team should highlight the relationship between token price and the underlying value of the technology IP.

Episode 9 - Rockstar or Monster?

Mo briefly discusses their ICOBench rating, and how one ‘expert’, Gytis Trilikauskis, made no attempt to ask questions of the Kimera team before provide a less than flattering review, which caused the lower than expected rating.

The team make preparations to deliver a Webinar, which is scheduled to commence at 1am, Portland-time.

With US investors excluded from the pre-sale because of SEC regulations, the webinar timing is designed to give potential pre-sale investors (Europe/Asia) a better opportunity to watch it. (Here in Australia, it was a very convenient 6pm)

During the webinar, Mo lays out and explains, in great detail, the technology that comprises the Nigel AGI ecosystem.

Mo’s apparent addiction to energy drinks, such as Monster and Rockstar, is confirmed.

As at 8 May, ICOBench Rating increased to 4.2
(As as the date of this article being published - 4.3)

We meet:

  • Zikria Haqiqi, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Tribal Media House.

  • Jordyn Roach, Documentarian (& Camera Operator), Tribe Media House.

As Episode #10 was only released this week, Part 3 of this article series will not come out until after Episode #14 is available.
