I assume that we all know by now that bitcoin is sloooowwww....There is really no future for bitcoin in the cryptoera. It can't scale..simple as that.
I have heard that Ethereum also some times when there are a lot of transactions like in times of ICOs etc the blockchain is also bloated and transactions could take long to process but until today I never experienced any delay personally. Until today...
I guess that with today's ETH spike a lot of transactions are happening so that may be the reason for transactions to be pending. I don't know..But as of the time of writing I made a transfer 1 hour ago and it is still pending. Not to mention that fees are very high in both blockchains..Not a single confirmation...wow...Today was the first time that I though that ethereum has no future either (unless they switch maybe to proof of stake).. So Ethereum is also very sloooowww...
I really don't understand why people don't just switch to bitshares and steem blockchains which use Delegate Proof of Stake and Graphene technology. Both are extremely fast, have very low to no fees and can handle this kind of transaction volume very easily.. Anyway..Eventually this will happen. Undoubtedly.. There is no other way...Both ETH, BTC and all the other cryptos I have used until today are so slow..
Graphene is the future of cryptocurrency projects. I have no doubt that EOS will also rock our world. Many thanks to @dan for bringing this technology to the world. Now it is up to the rest of us if we choose to use this tech and make great things in the future or if we decide to use blockchains that cryptocurrency millionaires and mining pools wants us to use aka BTC,ETH etc..

As important as it is to have a fast scalable blockchain, it's important to remember that Bitcoin is the only true decentralized blockchain. It seems that the market has decided that be decentralized is more important than being fast or cheap. Bitcoin is the only chain without a dev team.
Thats its true ! But dont forget BTC blockchain is heavily spammed , but i really agree that BTC should be store of value , ETH hmm nah have you ever seen GAS prices when the network is full ?
Yes, that's once definite advantage Bitshares & Steem have over the better known cryptocurrencies. Kind-of-ironic that both were designed to be platforms, but are faster as plain currencies.

Two of the problems Oldenburg has highlighted with Bitcoin is its high transaction costs and confirmation times. Fees are doubled every 3months and confirmation can take 4-5 hours. These "problems" show that its time for new leader of cryptocurrency
