I am trying to get to grips with Openledger and Bitshares and Steem and how they all hang together.
I created a Bitshares wallet and transferred some BTC into it. I then managed to buy some 31 open.STEEM. So far, so good. Then I tried to transfer the open.STEEM into my wife's Steem account, by following this post: https://steemit.com/steem/@xeldal/how-to-transfer-steem-between-the-bitshares-and-steem-networks
So I sent the Steem to account "openledger-wallet" with "steem:lucygarrod" in the memo field as instructed. The open.STEEM was deducted from my account but it did not appear in my wife's Steem account.
So the above post helpfully provides instructions for what to do if something goes wrong: "If anything goes wrong just contact someone on the STEEM slack channel or on the BitSharesTalk Forum someone there will help you sort it out."
So I headed over to the BitsharesTalk forum but found myself alone. Slack told me to contact the Workspace Administrator (whoever that might be) to get a user id :(.
My money's gone missing and I'm stuck!
Can anybody help please?
Hi, Firstly - Your bitshares account name? I will take a look. Then we can trace it to the open-ledger wallet. From there, it will be up to OL support if they will honor the (possible) mistake). It seems you had followed a post by @xeldal that is 2 years old. So I'm not sure these methods would work anymore, and also as I see it now STEEM and SBD gateways do not show in OpenLedger Deposit/Withdraw options in BitShares.
Unfortunately, it is easy to have lost your funds this way. You'll have to contact OL support and create a ticket with all the info https://openledger.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/33000123396
Hi, thanks for getting back to me. The bitshares account name is garrod1. I appreciate your help and will create a ticket as you suggest.
