So I've been skulking around Telegram, looking to talk about some potential investments in ARISE and find out info on the BTS tye-in.
They are locking down the conversations. They have "no FUD" rules.
When I asked to get clarity on what exactly constitutes FUD, my comment was DELETED instead of answered on the ARISE channel. Other people posting factual information like 'fav' on BTS DEX channel have also caused a huge uproar, and the response is basically saying information that makes people feel uncomfortable = FUD. They are wrong.
And this appears to be the source of all the FUD. They want hype without answering legitimate questions. Why shouldn't someone be able to ask about a new rule they just posted? Their response is lazy if not shady. The response is the epitome of arrogant authoritarianism. The response does not engender trust.
I try not to pass judgement on people and not invest ideologically but the way they act makes me dislike them and distrust their promises. I've said before that my gut tells me not to trust Jared. This confirms that feeling for me.
What else is up with ARISE?
- They have extended the ICO date for an undetermined quantity of time because they haven't reached their goal (apparent lack of interest).
- They have had to state "NO REFUNDS (Don't ask)".
- The 1:1 BTS/ARISE coin pegging is going away Jan 26nd.
None of these developments have me begging to give them my money. They may or may not deliver on their promises. I'll be waiting on the sidelines to pick up the pieces as this FUD gains momentum due to their own behavior and maybe, just maybe I'll buy when a good deal is available and they have shown some semblance of a product.
People are calling for BTS to sever ties with ARISE on Reddit and I can't say I feel differently. There aren't any satisfactory answers coming from the leadership on either side of this deal.
