George Friedman, a well-renown geopolitical analyst, has recently shared his view of the future of blockchain technology in an interview with CNBC. He believes that all blockchains will be eventually decrypted, thus losing their relevance.
Friedman’s concerns are about the safety of blockchain encryption codes. According to his prediction, the blockchain encryption code will be cracked in USA, Russia or China:
"I've never known any encryption technology not to be broken," - George Friedman told CNBC
The analyst recognizes the current importance and innovativeness of the blockchain technology. He thinks, however, that it may become obsolete and forgotten some day:
“[It is] one of those hypes. People [are] profiting from it, making extraordinary claims about it,” – he stated.
George Friedman is the founder of Geopolitical Futures online outlet. He is also the author of “The Next 100 Years: A Forecast for the 21st Century”.
Friedman may turn out to be right after all, as there is no shortage of examples of “impregnable” codes being cracked. However, in case with blockchain, this may result in its enhanced version emerging to replace it.
all the blockchain can be decrypted, the problem is that it would require a disproportionate amount of computing power, fortunately no one has such a powerful computer!
