These two Steemians wrote posts detailing how and why Bitconnect was a scam, 8 and 9 months ago, respectively. They were laughed at, called names, and shamed...Until they were proven right.
Sadly, @jenny143 made just $0.08 on her post (now with 77,000 views!) and is the proud owner of a 26 reputation score.

I was perusing Alexa.com and saw that the search term "bitconnect scam" sent 0.28% of search traffic to Steemit.
So I decided to search that to see what came up. The top two results turned out to be Steemit posts! That's how I discovered these two authors.
Can anyone confirm whether or not any other Steemit posts have been viewed more than @thegrinder's? Or does he hold the title for the most-viewed post?
1,160,000 views. Afaik this currently holds the record. (Fake news btw, fortunately.)

Wow, okay. I missed that one. With the growth we're seeing around here, I'd bet that in the not too distant future a million views on a post will be relatively common. Is that being too optimistic?

Yup, Tim is correct I was curious about this same thing before. I blogged about this story, since It got picked up by alot of new outlets and passed off as real, then they all had to retract it and I think it looked back for steemit, but I'm sure it's all blown over by now.
That makes me smile, fake news that gets above 1 million views 😀.
I bet the author is our could be a little disappointed that he basically didn't get any reward. While his content was really loved by the audience 😂
@timcliff good info but how are you certain its fake news? even if his posts cannot be verified but the act itself of eating human meat as a special delicacy exists even in the US near you

He has over 50 accounts that he is using on Steem to do this and that and is currently trying to have a flag war with me that I have put a stop to on my end by muting and compiling a list of his bots... see post below...
I noticed you had a conversation with him a while back on his main account... He is some kind of weird troll because he is doing exactly the things that he is warning against or talking out against?

Sorry to post here in comments, you didn't have a recent post to post under... I just figured he may listen to a higher ranking community member :P This dude seems to be a problem... You can track all these accounts back to him, sending sbd back and forth, following on creating, etc.... and other people have gotten in similar fights from the looks of reading comments on some of them.

Lol, that nano dude is insane. He really thinks I have 43 alt accounts and I talk to each one of them seperately for making it seem they are real people. Guess what; they are.

Dude's upto 43 accounts he's flagging/botting from now... All clearly his if you look at the block chain data. I reported it on #steemabuse as you suggested...

Not defending bitconnect at all. But the only thing that's been proven is their incompetence. Until someone gets a hold of their servers/software, there is no proof they were a ponzi/scam. Of course we all know they were, but I think the word "proven" is being thrown around too lightly. I want to see real proof.

Damn that was a blast from the past, glad to see many of the comments in that thread were against bcc. That's a true power of the platform to be able to protect its users from scams.
The comments on there certainly were polarized. Half of them were "You're an idiot, this is the greatest thing ever!" and the other half were "Yeah, this is totally a ponzi scheme."

I certainly agree with that. Because the value of post surely increases overtime. As is the case with posts being discussed here.

thanks for this updates now i can search and confirm best viewed steemit posts and I think these folks need the kudos. they are the nostrademus who gave warning but were ignored when folks were blinded because of quick money. keep it coming sir
