Lending with BitConnect -- is it worth it? Follow me to find out my experience

in #bitconnect7 years ago (edited)

I just got started with BitConnect today. I transferred some BTC over, a little under 5 BTC, and then purchased BCC with it (the coin used by BitConnect).

Then I lent out most of it, which will come back to me in 120 days, because I lent the highest tier, which is $10,010 and up (highest amount you can lend is $100k). I lent $12,430 out.

I will be reporting on my earnings as time goes on. Probably daily to start with, if the metrics show anything that is.

So here are the stats so far, this table is from BitConnect, in reverse order.

Today's return puts the Lending Wallet up to $952.14, so, tomorrow after 6:15 pm I will take the next thousand out, and will be around 20% of the way back to what I invested.

Following your journey as I too have started investing in Bitconnect. Luckily I haven't gotten flagged yet. I have some BCC already and it's going well. I need some honest opinions please. Do you think it's better to wait until the price of bitcoin goes up to take out a big loan or do you think it doesnt matter much to buy now at a low bitcoin price? Thanks! Following.
I don't thik you should stop posting about it. Just becareful with affiliate links and promoting bitconnect. Just my thoughts, I'd like to see more from you

Thanks, upvoted and following you back! Agreed, I will continue updating this post which has already been voted down -- I won't make any new posts about it. (Although, I did notice that I was able to "vote it back up" because I had bought in a bunch of STEEM POWER last week.)

As far as the BTC price, that's a good question I hadn't considered. I think when I bought my STEEM POWER, just after I did so it dropped like a rock. Not that I'm trading it for short term -- I'm looking at the Steem and Steemit platform for the long haul. Good luck to us both!

Thanks! Please check your other replies. I made a comment

Be careful. This is a Ponzi Scheme 100% Sure.

Pretty sure you are correct. I'll continue updating, at any rate...

interested in the follow up!

Keep checking back on this post, I'm continuing to update basically daily when I check my return. I made the investment around 6:15 pm Eastern time, so it does the daily return update at that time as well; therefore, I won't update until after then.

Current stats: invested $12,430; have taken out $1,114.98 (by first converting to BCC, then to BTC, then sending to my wallet; I left them in BTC, since that's where they had come from initially anyway -- but those two conversion likely lost a small portion of this amount, I got back about 0.54 BTC, and that was on Monday around 5:30 pm).

Currently have $676.19 in the Lending Wallet; once that hits $1,000 again I'll withdraw, and continue that process.

Thanks for the interest!

You should pull all funds out as soon as possible. it's def a ponzi and can vanish at anytime. put those coins in to steem or run a few chc masternodes. best of luck and thanks for the share. ill monitor your progress even if its hidden 😂😂

Thanks, and, I agree.

Hey! I stumbled across your profile and I can't help but ask. Why did they flag this post? I don't get it? What's going on here? Sorry for being a bit nosy! I'm just curious...

Hi Kate, no worries! I think it's because I shared an affiliate link, just as @craigrant did -- but he shared the link in the video that he linked in his Steemit post. Apparently, the @steemcleaners profile is the one that flagged it.

In other words:

@craigrant posts LINK to video, video has LINK to affilate link. @steemcleaners misses it.
@libertyteeth posts LINK to affiliate link. @steemcleaners flags it.

It would be appreciated if all of @craigrant's posts that discuss BitConnect would be similarly flagged.

I'm not going to waste my time doing that; I'm already at a loss based on the consensus that this is a scam. That said, @steemcleaners might make their scanning more robust, to help us out here.

Seems I'm out twelve grand, although I'll try to claw it back... Made more than 1% yesterday, so earnings so far are $264.76. "Earnings", that is... Be careful out there!

Sorry about that! :( Thanks for taking the time to explain it to me though! I appreciate the response! I only just saw this reply. All the best!! :)

By just writing "@craig-grant", you summoned the blockchain info bot:
99.986% of steemers have lower reputation than craig-grant.
99.436% of steemers signed up later than craig-grant (2016.05.10 at 13:04:45).
74.818 was the exact reputation of craig-grant 4 days ago (update Fridays).
1 steemers are followed by both of you.
3 steemers are following both of you.
Hope that info helps, instahater. You can ask @qed for more details. Take care!

Good luck! The only reason I'm not involved with bit connect is that I don't want my stash locked away for that long. I do think it is a good thing to do though and believe in it. BCC went up in price over the last few days as well.

Thanks! I've been lending on Poloniex but I'm concerned they might be doing a Mt Gox-style exit. And, this looks to have a better return, as well. Good luck to you as well! (Upvoted and followed. :) )

With all these crypto you might just lose it all, there are no guarantee on your money, so dont play with money if you cant afford to lose. Now if i were to put 12k into steem power i can upvote myself to make more money than bitconnect. Let see how much u make after a few month.

Thanks for the feedback, I think I'll do that as well!

Thanks for sharing!
Followed and upvoted!

So in one day I've made $137.97. This is more than 1% of my investment.

I guess I won't make daily posts since posts by @craigrant for some reason aren't flagged, perhaps because they have video in them, but my post and another that I saw yesterday were flagged, perhaps because they're only textual.

So, I'll just keep updating this (hidden) post. Enjoy!

Second day I made $126.79; third day $251.09 (2.02%!), fourth day $129.27. Total so far: $645.12. Have not tried to withdraw yet; waiting for the first $1,000 (for some reason???).

1% a day doesn't seem realistic. If they can do that, why share? Reminds me of Limitless, and the foolish decision to use a loan shark. But my funds are stuck for another 116 days, so let's keep track of it! :)

Today another $151.65, total return $964.57 -- so, it looks like tomorrow it'll cross the $1k threshold and I'll attempt to withdraw.

Got back almost 10% of my investment today! Yesterday added $150.40 (they have a bug where they displayed it as "$150.4"), bringing the total to $1,114.98.

I converted all of that to BCC, which was around 21.5 BCC; then converted that into BTC, which was around 0.53 BTC. I then sent that to my wallet.

It hasn't arrived yet, now 10 minutes in. Not sure about the transaction slowdown right now so perhaps that's the reason?

The deposit just arrived, so I've managed to recover about 9% of my investment. If this continues to hold true I should have everything back in 9 weeks and then I'll roll it forward.

You are one of the nicest persons here. I hope you will get back at least the amount of money you invested. Good luck my friend

Wow thanks, that means a lot! I try; I also am concussed and thus forget a lot so it's great to get feedback like that, because I do forget a lot of what I've said -- even if it's permanent on this blockchain. :)

While it may not be a scam in your opinion, it could be considered spam. Spam is not appreciated by the community and could be flagged or may result in action from the cheetah bot..

My apologies. Seems you're being a bit aggressive here; I'm just sharing my experiences. Reading up on the cheetah bot, I don't think this post qualifies as it is not copy/pasted from anywhere; it was my own original creation yesterday. I appreciate what you do, though, and will consider whether to continue reporting on these experiences.

Upon doing further research (which I should have done last night! :/ ), I see these posts and probably just lost my investment.

Thanks again.

Please consider marking user "craigrant" similarly, as one of his videos that I watched yesterday convinced me to take this investment, and make this post. Thanks again.

From discussion with another steemit user, it seems that perhaps your bot only scans for text -- it does not seem to scan the YouTube video that craigrant had posted a link to. So, you might want to either increase the manual effort of determining whether a video is in violation; or, look into speech-to-text software to assist in automating this task.

Again, thanks for your efforts!
