A Malaysian trader and accomplices stole 85 Bitcoin miners, drilling through the concrete wall of a warehouse

Police Chief Seremban Mohammed Saeed said that all suspects, including two Indonesians, were captured in separate raids. Among other things, concrete drilling equipment was seized from them.

"On October 29, the owner of the premises contacted the police and found 85 Bitcoin machines missing. The police subsequently raided and arrested suspects between the ages of 25 and 46. Some of them worked as traders and builders, others were unemployed," Said said at a press conference on Wednesday.

The initial investigation showed that the suspects had rented space near the warehouse for a day, drilled through the wall and took the equipment, he said.

"The rent was taken in order to track the movement of the vehicles. The motive for the crime is supposed to be the independent use of the equipment," Saeed added.

He also reported that all the suspects were friends and had not been prosecuted before.
