Hey All,
So I'm new to the Crypto space, about 2 months of genuine interest after hearing about (and dismissing) Bitcoin back in 2013. I've been trying to soak up anything and everything I can about Bitcoin, how money works, and what the differences are. To me, Bitcoin has been enlightening and now I see its importance in bringing a more diversified global economy as well as addressing most, if not all, of the shortcomings of money how we use it today.
As with every new technology, there are skeptics. One of those is my wife. Rightfully so, she (we all) fear change. It's scary stuff, not knowing the future. So in order to rustle up some more venture capital ( :p ) I took an hour or two to throw together a power point slide to educate her this newfangled contraption that is Bitcoin. Two of her sisters just so happened to be in town as well and they sat down and listened to my presentation and they were genuinely interested and asked really good questions! Afterwards, I got them all some wallets and sent them a few dollars in Bitcoin to show them how it worked.
I'm proud to have shared some knowledge and excitement in this space and hope that more people get excited about the possibilities of a decentralized, open, censorship resistant, border-less, and secure currency. This is how we get to the moon ppl, just talk to your family and friends about it and before you know it, we'll be figuring out how to get to Mars!!
