Bitcoin prices up by ~15%, while STEEM makes extreme gains up to 45%

It is good to come home end of the day to realize Bitcoin prices went up :)
**Short disclaimer: If you are holding Bitcoin for long-term investments, these fluctuations or short bull runs may not interest that much. But for traders, these fluctuations are exactly what you have been waiting for.
Bitcoin [BTC]
Although the surge may seem pretty huge of 15% to USD7,800, always take a look at the bigger time frame for example 1 year. You will see that Bitcoin made a small victory compared to its USD20,000 peak during Dec 2017.

Ethereum [ETH]
Ether's price remains around USD490, but most importantly we would like to see Ethereum's value going up against Bitcoin (ETH/BTC). Currently, prices hover around 0.06 ETH/BTC. Expectations are for ETH/BTC to at least double when many of the pre-ICOs, ICOs and smart contracts are fulfilled under Ethereum.

STEEM and SBD
On the Steemit platform, it is delightful to see STEEM and SBD rising strongly against USD as well as BTC to reach USD2.90. Similarly, SBD experienced a 50% gain reaching USD2.58. STEEM and SBD are once again largely due to big buys from the Korean trading markets, around USD55-60 million for STEEM and SBD each via UpBit exchange. Maybe our #kr friends here can explain why Steemit is gaining so much popularity in South Korea? 안녕하세요, 당신은 어떠세요? 왜 STEEM이 한국에서 그렇게 인기가 있습니까? (Courtesy of Google Translate)

Bitcoin Private [BTCP]

I also noticed Bitcoin Private increased by 100% in price. Bitcoin Private is a co-merged hard fork from Bitcoin and ZClassic Chain, with an additional layer of privacy for "the sender, recipient and other transactional metadata" (source: https://btcprivate.org/). Sitting at USD29.97, will prices shoot up to Bitcoin Cash levels or crash like Bitcoin Gold?
It gets more interesting and exciting everyday.
Oh crypto. What a rollercoaster you are.
up and down. just small movements if you zoom out the price charts :)
Re: Korean demand for Steem
I believe there was some speculation that EOS or Steem might start trading on Coinbase soon.
Wow that is good to know :) Are there any Korean online news reports about Steemit? 고맙습니다
There's generally a lot more interest about steemit in Korea than the U.S. I don't think there was any specific news that prompted the demand. I bet it's a lot of people looking at the charts and joining the band wagon. A lot of short term crypto traders in Korea.
A very tech savvy and trendsetting generation of Koreans :) I also know Samsung is starting to manufacture ASICs miners for Bitcoin. Hope my articles can reach kr followers too
Not sure how many traders were happy by yesterday's moves. Most of the market was short. And expectations are that what happened yesterday was a short squeeze. Sellers forced out their positions.
Or the start of big money coming in.
This is a good time to celebrate! I hope those skeptics are watching :) There's no stopping in crypto and Bitcoin.
I was summoned by @tysler. I have done their bidding and now I will vanish...
A portion of the proceeds from your bid was used in support of youarehope and tarc.

@foodandtravell is on the @abusereports blacklist for being a bad Steemian! Bad spammer, bad!
You have received a @GrumpyCat flag because you or someone else sent money to buy votes from an irresponsible non-GrumpyCompliant service.
Some bots are acting irresponsibly by selling votes on posts very close to final payout. These votes are sneaky, not promotion and are most of the time placed on low value content.
Sending money to these bots is also financially supporting for-profit only posters (spammers).
To know what voting bot to use, refer to https://steembottracker.com/ and use those that have 3.5 day or less in the "Max Age" column.
@sneaky-ninja (by @michaeldavid) is reporting 6 day but is actually selling votes up until 6.4 days.
Important warning, since @sneaky-ninja has made no effort to comply in more than 3 months, it's vote will still be countered even should he improve his Max Age setting.
